🔼 Girls On The Run. Oklahoma State women's track & field completed its first day of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships last night at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas, with both semifinalist athletes moving onto their respective finals.

Billah Jepkirui and Gabija Galvydyte both took home heat victories in the 1,500 Meters and 800 Meters, respectively, to qualify automatically for the finals tomorrow—and both have set their sights on becoming the fourth and fifth Cowgirl individual champions in OSU history outdoors and the first since Sinclaire Johnson won the 1,500 Meters in 2019.

Gabija Galvydyte returns to the 800 Meter Final after placing third last year, while Billah Jepkirui advances to her first career NCAA Outdoor Final.

Additionally, Molly Born wrapped up her season in the 10,000 Meters, where she clocked a 33:54.16 finish, locking up second-team All-America honors in the process. It's the first time in her career that she's picked up All-American status in outdoor competition.

🔼 Big Time Wynne. Morgyn Wynne proved once again she was much more than an athlete as she was named one of eight recipients of the McLendon Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship. Winners receive a $10,000 grant to be used towards postgraduate studies in athletics administration.

She’ll add this to her resume on top of being honored as an Academic All-American, an OSU Senior of Significance, and as a four-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree.

🔼 All-Americans Aplenty. Four different OSU programs garnered All-American accolades this week.

Track & Field:
Isai Rodriguez wrapped up his illustrious career on Wednesday night with a career-best top-five finish in the 10,000m to earn First Team All-American honors.

Men’s Golf:
Jonas Baumgartner and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen earned their stars and stripes this spring when the duo received All-America recognition earlier this week.

Baseball:
With 17 home runs, 74 RBIs, and 20 doubles, Nolan Schubart was named a Freshman All-American earlier this week.

Softball:
A quintet of Cowgirls earned Academic All-America accolades with Rachel Becker, Chyenne Factor, Morgyn Wynne, Kelly Maxwell and Katelynn Carwile all were honored this week. It was tied for the most CSC Academic All-America selections with any other program at any level (Div. I, II or III).

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 85 DAYS

85 yards to the house. That’s exactly what happened on November 7, 2020 when then-sophomore Jason Taylor II picked up a fumble and scampered into the Kansas State end zone in a 20-18 OSU road victory.

To this day, it is the second-longest fumble return in program history.

And Jason Taylor II? He’s doing just fine now playing with the Los Angeles Rams.

Answer: Mickey Tettleton

“Froot Loops” as was his affectionate nickname, was a switch-hitting force for the Cowboys, helping them earn a spot in the 1981 College World Series final in his last season with OSU.

Tettleon went on to enjoy a 14-year MLB career with four different teams, last playing with the Texas Rangers in 1997.
