🔺 Back In The Lab. Is there anything better than seeing these pictures of our Bears back at work?

The preparation is underway indeed.

We can’t wait for an exciting fall here in Stillwater.

🔼 On Her High Horse. Incoming freshman Bella D’Onofrio isn’t even in Orange and Black yet and she’s already piling up here winnings.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, D’Onofrio captured the top prize in OKC this past week at the AQHA World Championship Show.

She was crowned the World Champion in both the L3 14-18 Equitation and L3 Performance Halter Geldings.

Not only that, she was the reserve World Champion in the L3 14-18 Showmanship and L3 14-18 Hunter Under Saddle categories.

Now that’s what we call making a first impression.

🔼 More Ks Than The Kardashians. With just over two months left in the MLB season, the playoff races are heating up.

The closest division race in the majors right now has one of our own right in the middle of it.

Andrew Heaney and the Texas Rangers hold a 0.5 game lead over the Houston Astros in the AL West.

On Tuesday night, Heaney delivered for his squad in a big way, tossing six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out a career-high 11 White Sox hitters.

Way to step up Heandog!

📝 ICYMI…

🔼 Making The List. A defensive menace to opponents for over two years, Collin Oliver is well known by opposing offensive coordinators.

A junior out of Edmond Santa Fe High School, Oliver is one of 11 Big 12 players included on the list. He moved to linebacker in the spring of 2023 after starting his career at defensive end his first two seasons.

He put together one of the most impressive true freshman seasons in the nation and in Oklahoma State history in 2021, earning unanimous Big 12 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year honors and freshman All-America honors. Highlights from that season included ranking No. 7 in the FBS and setting an OSU freshman record with 11.5 sacks.

As a sophomore last year, Oliver earned All-Big 12 honors from the league's coaches for a second consecutive season. He played in all 13 games and led the team with 5.0 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries, while his 7.5 tackles for loss ranked fourth.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

As highlighted in OSU Max’s latest My Time Feature, Keiton Page was a lethal weapon on the guard for the Cowboys.

During his career, he knocked down 299 three-pointers and scored over 1,600 points.

In his senior season, he drilled 103 from beyond the arc to become (at the time) just the fourth Cowboy in program history to hit 100+ in a season.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Brooks Thompson in 1993-94.

Thompson drilled 110 3-pointers during his senior year at OSU, which at the time, set a program single-season record.

That record last exactly one year as Randy Rutherford knocked down 146 the following season, which still remains the record to this day.

Let’s have a great Thursday, ya’ll!
