Top-Ranked Cowgirls Improve To 13-0 With Weekend Big 12 Sweep

Good Monday Morning Pokes. One day it was cold. One day it was hot. The weather doesn’t matter for the #1-ranked Cowgirls.

Another weekend of court domination and plenty more Ws all around for the Orange & Black!

Former Oklahoma State assistant coach Glynn Cyprien was on Eddie Sutton's staff from 2000-04 helping coach the Cowboys to the 2004 Final Four. Cyprien joined former players from that team during the 20 year reunion.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Make It A Baker’s Dozen. It didn’t matter what weather the Cowgirls were playing in, they still scorched the courts.

The top-ranked OSU women’s tennis team continued its unbeaten spring with a weekend sweep of its first two Big 12 opponents, defeating Kansas (4-1) and Iowa State (7-0).

The Orange & Black are now a perfect 13-0 this spring, its best start to a season since 1981.

🔺 Chip Off The Block. The firepower was truly on display at O’Brate Stadium this weekend.

OSU’s offense was a blast to watch putting up 34 runs in a three-game sweep of visiting Central Michigan. The Pokes picked up wins of 7-4, 8-1 and 19-0 in their first homestand of 2024.

In OSU’s first at-bat at home, Jaxson Crull launched a solo shot over the right field wall and really set the tone as the Cowboys pounded out 42 hits, including eight HRs on the weekend.

Carson Benge finished 5-for-11 with nine RBIs and four runs scored on the weekend for the Orange & Black.

🔺 Hang It In The Louvre. That catch by Haiydn Sokoloski was one of MANY highlights put on display by the OSU softball squad during a Friday sweep at Cowgirl Stadium.

In Friday’s opener, the Orange & Black won a 4-1 battle against Seattle to set the stage for a decisive 13-1 evening nightcap over Drake.

The red-hot Cowgirls have now won 11 straight heading into a midweek showdown with Wichita State. After that, it’s go time as conference play kicks off with a trip to the top-20 ranked Baylor Bears next weekend.

🔺 Ridin’ High. The ninth-ranked OSU equestrian squad was truly California Dreamin’ this weekend.

Closing out its regular season slate, the Cowgirls picked up wins over Fresno State (14-6) and #9 UC Davis (10-10, won by tiebreaker) for a weekend sweep through California.

The Orange & Black now head into Big 12 Championships later this month having wrapped up their spring season with a 4-1 ledger, including two wins over ranked competition.

OSU junior transfer Ange Oby Kajuru is making a big impact with the Cowgirls on the hard courts in his first season in Stillwater.

The Iowa State transfer and Japanese native has been ranked as high as the number two singles and top ten in doubles in the NCAA during the 2024 season for OSU.
