🔺 Pokes Praised. When you take down numerous ranked opponents, you’re bound to turn some heads.

With huge victories on the court and on the mat, both the OSU women’s tennis squad and the OSU wrestling team took home Big 12 weekly honors.

Lucia Peyre, who helped the Cowgirls take down ✌️ top-15 opponents this past week, was named the Big 12 Player of the Week, while Dustin Plott, who moved to 18-1 on the season, was named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week.

🔺 Hale Of A Year. All fall long, Alex Hale continued to prove he among the country’s best kickers on the field.

Hale’s success wasn’t limited to the field as the Australia native dominated the classroom as well and this week, he was named First Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators.

🔺 Augusta Bound. “A Dream Come True.”

After a summer that included stops at the Arnold Palmer Cup and her major debut at the U.S. Women’s Open, senior Maddison Hinson-Tolchard’s dream year continued this week.

On Monday, the OSU senior received an invitation to compete at the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur from April 3-6.

🔺 Need For Speed. Coming off not one, but ✌️ podium finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships this past fall, the Pokes are ready to show off their speed once again on the track.

The Orange & Black will start the season with the highest week 1️⃣ rankings in program history.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 1995-96.

The only other meeting between OSU and Cincinnati in women’s basketball came during the 1995-69 season when the two met at the Rice Tournament in Houston on Dec. 2, 1995. The Cowgirls came away with a 78-57 victory in that contest.

🤠 Let’s have a great day, y’all!
