📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Born To Run. It was another historic night in Oregon for the OSU track & field squad.

Two school record performances and two First Team All-Americans? Not too shabby of a night for the Cowgirls.

Taylor Roe and Molly Born finished 3-4 in the 10,000m to both earn first team accolades, with Roe’s time of 32:17.45 setting a new school record in the event. Roe also earned All-American status during the indoor and cross country seasons.

In addition, defending NCAA outdoor 800 Meter runner-up Gabija Galvydyte starred in her preliminary race, breaking her own school record and advancing automatically to the final with her mark of 2:00.11.

🔺 Head Of Class. Not only did Isaac Becroft have quite a season on the court for the OSU men’s tennis team, the success carried over into the classroom.

A first-team pick a year ago, Becroft was one of seven student-athletes named to this year's second team. The senior carries a 3.77 GPA in finance and was one of four repeat selections on the Academic All-America squad.

Last month, Becroft and doubles partner Tyler Zink reached the round of 16 at the NCAA Championship in Stillwater. The duo finished the year with a 7-1 mark, including six ranked wins before finishing the year ranked No. 10 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association ranking.

In singles action, Becroft finished the year ranked No. 88 in the country. The Wellington, New Zealand native wrapped up the season with 15 wins, the second-best total by a Cowboy on the year.

🔺 It’s Tee Time. It may be the weekend, but it’s tee time for OSU’s own Maddison Hinson-Tolchard.

This weekend, she is set to make her debut as a professional later today as she competes in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship on the Epson Tour from June 7-9.

Hinson-Tolchard, who declared professional status following the 2024 NCAA Championships, secured her card on the Epson Tour after successfully advancing through Stage II of LPGA Q-School in October.

The native of Perth, Australia, enters Battle Creek Country Club as one of 15 players making their Epson Tour debuts as professionals and one of three in the 144-player field debuting after successfully navigating Stage II of Q-School, joining WAGR's former No. 1 ranked amateur Ingrid Lindblad and Charlotte Heath.

Former Cowgirls Emma Broze and Maddie McCrary are also competing in the par-72, 6,598-yard layout.

🔺 Straight Flexin’. It may be the summer, but the Cowboys are prepping for the 2024-25 season.

Helping the Pokes prepare is a brand new strength and conditioning coach.

This week, Coach Lutz introduced Marcus Edwards as the new leader in the weight room.

Edwards spent the past two seasons with the men's hoops program at Vanderbilt after serving in a similar capacity at Missouri, Wyoming and Southern Illinois.

During his time in Nashville, Edwards worked under former NBA all-star and 2023 SEC Coach of the Year Jerry Stackhouse. In his first season, the Commodores posted 22 wins and reached the NIT quarterfinals.
