It’s been a historic start to the OSU wrestling season and the Coach Taylor era.

This week, Luke Surber and Tyler Caldwell joined the weekly Coach Taylor radio show to talk about the latest victory over Air Force and the road ahead for the Cowboys.

🔼 Cat Scratch Fever. The OSU men’s hoops squad returned to GIA in a big way on Tuesday night, rolling past Kansas State, 79-66, to pick up their first Big 12 victory of the season.

Leading the way for the Cowboys was big man Abou Ousmane who poured in a career-high 27 points, along with five rebounds and two blocks. Ousmane was one of three Pokes in double-figures with Chi Chi Avery adding 13 and Bryce Thompson finishing with 10.

Brandon Newman also came off the bench to score nine, which gave him 1,000 collegiate points in his career (three years at Purdue and one at WKU).

🔼 Court Is In Session. Well not quite yet, but it’s coming.

After a historic 2024 season, expectations are soarin’ high once again for the OSU women’s tennis program, who is just a week away from the start of a new season.

This week, the Cowgirls earned the top spot in the Big 12 preseason poll, as well as being ranked #4 in the first ITA national rankings of the season.

🔼 Head Of Class. The season may be in the rearview mirror, but the accolades continue to pile in for the OSU football program.

This week, seven Cowboys were named to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Football Team.

OSU's honorees include Alan Bowman, Cale Cabbiness, Aden Kelley, Garrick Martin, Jake Schultz, Dylan Smith and Logan Ward.

It marks the third consecutive season to be honored for both Schultz and Ward, matching the school record set by Billy Bajema (2002-04) and Brad Lundblade (2015-17). Bowman (2023), Cabbiness (2022) and Kelley (2023) are being honored for a second time and it is the first career academic all-district selection for Martin and Smith.

Nick Martin burst onto the scene in 2023 leading the Cowboys and the Big 12 in tackles with 140 and solo tackles with 83. He was on pace for another big season in 2024 before a season ending injury in the fifth game of the season.
