🔼 Rockin’ Along. Now sitting at just over the halfway point of Big 12 play, the Cowgirls got a big weekend road win as they head down the stretch of the regular season.

OSU got goals from Logan Heausler, Gracie Bindbeutel and Laudan Wilson and the Pokes defense once again shined in a 3-0 victory over Kansas in Lawrence on Saturday night.

The Cowgirls held the Jayhawks to just five shots on the night and registered their 11th shutout of the season, marking the fifth-highest single season total in program history.

With the win, OSU is now 9-2-3 and in prime position to make another run to the Big 12 Tournament.

🔼 He’sss Backkk. After five years away, the hard work has paid off for former Cowboy Kris Ventura.

Ventura fired a final round 4-under in the Korn Ferry Tour Championship to finish 27th for the year and punch his ticket back to the PGA TOUR.

The Top-30 at the Championship earn their PGA TOUR card for the year, a distinction that Ventura held in both 2020 and 2021.

In his career, Ventura has played in 51 PGA TOUR events with seven top-25 finishes and two in the top-10.

🔼 Accolades For Angelica. She may have graduated already, but former Cowgirl Angelica Pfefferkorn is still collecting accolades.

Late last week, Pfefferkorn was named the 2024 Everett Dobson Award winner.

Established in 2016 by the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame in honor of its founder, the award recognizes outstanding male or female golfers who have recently graduated from an Oklahoma college or university.

Pfefferkorn will be recognized later today at the 2024 OGHOF Classic Golf Tournament at Tulsa's Oak Tree National.

🔼 Time To Regroup. No doubt about it, the Cowboys continue to run into adversity.

OSU, a preseason favorite in the Big 12, dropped a third straight on Saturday as West Virginia jolted out to an early lead and dropped the Pokes, 38-14, at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

Since the Everett Dobson Award began in 2016, Angelica Pfefferkorn is now the second OSU alum to earn the honor.

Do you know the first Poke to bring home the accolade?

🙌 HOST WITH THE MOST

Nobody plays hosts like the Pokes.

Last week, OSU learned that they will soon play host for not one, not two, but THREE future NCAA postseason events.

The Pokes will host a 2027 Division I Men's Golf Regional and the 2027 Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships in Stillwater, plus 2028 Division I Men's Basketball First and Second Rounds at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
