🔼 Slammin’ Sunday. Make that ✌️and 0️⃣.
Led by Chi Chi Avery (23 points), the OSU men’s hoops squad pulled away in the second half en route to a 80-71 win over visiting St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon to improve to 2-0 in the Coach Lutz era.
Defensively, the Cowboys forced 20 turnovers and turned it into plenty of fastbreak slams, outscoring the opposition, 26-8 on fast break points.
Patrick Suemnick and Bryce Thompson scored 11 points each for OSU, and the team's smallest player, Arturo Dean, stuffed the box score with nine rebounds, five assists and four steals.
🔼 King of Cabo. Winning any PGA event is special. Winning two in the same calendar year takes it to another level.
That’s exactly what former OSU star Austin Eckroat finished on Sunday, capping off the World Wide Technology Championship with a 24-under to take the top spot by one stroke.
Eckroat won his first tournament back in March, taking the top spot at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches.
🔼 Ticket Punched. In just her first fall with the Cowgirls, Oklahoma native Gracie Epps is making her presence felt.
This past weekend, the sophomore ran her way to the ITA Conference Masters final, winning four matches in three days before falling in the championship match.
With her performance, she earned a ticket to the NCAA Individual Championships, joining teammates Ange Oby Kajuru and Anastasiya Komar later this month at the event in Waco.
184 l The first ranked win of the season belongs to Jersey Robb!
He punches his ticket to the finals with an 8-5 win over No. 33 Jared McGill (Edinboro) in sudden victory.

🔼 Six Pack. The Cowboys are officially off and running on the mats.
The David Taylor era got underway at the Michigan State Open this past weekend with all 13 Cowboy wrestlers placing at the event, including six titles across the two divisions.
Nine Cowboys were registered in the open division while four others competed in the freshman/sophomore brackets, all combining for a 51-12 record and 29 bonus-point wins on the day.
🔼 Chart Topper. Ever since he stepped on campus back in 2020, Brennan Presley has brought a consistent and non-stop work ethic.
On Saturday, he took his rightful place among the all-time OSU greats, finishing with eight catches and 63 yards to become the sole owner of the all-time receptions record in Cowboy program history.
Presley now sits at 294 for his career, topping Rashuan Woods’, who held the record since 2003.
🎥 OSUMAX: FACE-TO-FACE
OSU sophomore Preston Stout won the 2024
Big 12 Individual Championship in the spring and helped lead his team
to the 2024 Jackson T. Stephens Cup this fall.
Learn more about the Richardson, Texas native, when he picked up golf
and more in this Cowboy Face-to-Face interview.
🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA
In addition to becoming the program’s leader in career receptions, Brennan Presley became just the fourth Cowboy all-time to reach 5,000+ career all-purpose yards.
