🎥 OSUMAX: A POWERFUL CONNECTION

Coach Kenny Gajewski and his Cowgirl Softball team took a trip to the all-women’s Mabel Bassett Correctional Center last week to share a message of hope and be a source of inspiration with the women there. The Cowgirls spread their love for the game as they took batting practice and threw some pitches with the women at the facility.

🔼 Eyes On The Prize. For first time ever, the NCAA is playing their Singles and Doubles Championships in the fall, separate from the spring team championships.

Those championships get under today at Baylor University and three Cowgirls with Ange Oby Kajuru, Anastasiya Komar and Gracie Epps are among the 64 players that will enter the singles draw, with Kajuru set to do so as the sixth seed.

Kajuru earned her spot at the ITA All-American Championships in September, where she reached the quarterfinals. Komar's ITA Central Regional title clinched her bid in October while Epps played her way in with a runner-up finish at the ITA Conference Masters last weekend.

🔼 Defending Their Crown. Last fall in Virginia, the OSU cross country squads capped off a historic season, highlighted by the men’s team taking home the national title.

This weekend, the Pokes are back on the course, this time in Madison, Wisc. to once again battle on the national stage at the 2024 NCAA National Championship meet.

🔼 Pro Pokin’. As the NFL Playoff picture rounds into form, plenty of former Pokes and their teams are in prime position to earn a spot in the postseason.

Malcolm Rodriguez returned after missing the past two weeks due to injury to record four tackles in Detroit’s blowout win over Jacksonville. The Lions are 9-1 this season and currently hold the best record in the NFL.

Justice Hill and Tylan Wallace combined for 49 all-purpose yards, but the Ravens fell short to Jaylen Warren (68 total yards) and the Steelers on Sunday.

Emmanuel Ogbah picked up another sack in the Dolphins’ win over Las Vegas. Ogbah is having his best season since 2021 for Miami.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

As we mentioned, former OSU star Emmanuel Ogbah picked up his third sack of the season in Miami’s win over Las Vegas on Sunday.

In his nine seasons in the NFL, how many career sacks does Ogbah have?
