Taylor, Cowboys Roll To Pair of Dominant Victories In Home-Opening Weekend
Good Morning Pokes. No, that wasn’t an earthquake in Stillwater this weekend.
That noise and eruption you might have felt and heard was just GIA during the home opening weekend for Cowboy Wrestling.
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below!

🔼 Electric Factory. After kicking off the David Taylor era with two dominant road victories, the third-ranked OSU Cowboy wrestling brought their act to GIA for home-opening weekend.
And those dominant wins returned too as OSU rolled to wins over Wyoming (32-6) and #23 Arizona State (33-6) to improve to 4-0 on the season.
Through those four duals, OSU has claimed 33 of 40 bouts and secured bonus points 22 times for a 55% clip.
🔼 Chu Chu. The Chuba train keeps rolling along.
In the midst of his best pro season to date, former OSU star Chuba Hubbard found paydirt yet again, nearly helping his Carolina Panthers squad to a stunning upset of Kansas City.
Hubbard finished 60 total yards and a rushing TD. He has now scored a career-best eight total TDs this season and needs just 27 yards on the ground to set a new single-season career-high in rushing.
🔼 The Runnin’ Men. Last season, Brian Musau and Denis Kipngetich grabbed All-American honors at NCAA Championships.
They liked it so much, they thought they’d do it again as the OSU cross country duo grabbed their second straight All-America accolades on a blustery, cold Saturday morning in Wisconsin.
Musau was the first Cowboy across the line as he improved upon his eighth-place finish in 2023 with a fifth-place finish Saturday. Right behind him was Kipngetich, who finished 11th overall as he also earned All-America honors for the second time in as many seasons as a Cowboy.
The pair also became the eighth and ninth two-time cross country All-Americans in program history.
