🔼 Six Piece. For the first time in six years, the OSU Cowgirls are 6-0 and on Monday night, they got there in historic fashion.
OSU wrapped up its six-game homestand with a dominant 113-50 win over visiting Chicago State and set a trio of records in the process.
The Cowgirls set a new school record for single-game points (113), 3-pointers made (16) and junior Micah Gray knocked down 10 3-pointers of her own to shatter the program’s single-game individual mark.
🔼 Justice Is Served. With the Ravens needing a final punch to seal a big road victory, they decided to deliver some Justice… Justice Hill that is.
With under eight minutes to play on Monday Night Football, Hill took a handoff on 3rd and 2 and sped through the San Diego defense for a 51-yard game-sealing run to help the Ravens bring home a crucial 30-23 win over the Chargers.
It is Hill’s third overall TD of the season, but first on the ground.
🔼 Rated Rookie. The kid from Cali had quite a weekend for the Cowboys.
After quite a showing in his first career start, true freshman QB Maealiuaki Smith was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
Smith made his first career start for the Cowboys on Saturday and finished 26-for-35 for 316 passing yards and two touchdowns, also adding a 13-rushing rushing touchdown.
His passing total is the second-most in a first career start in OSU history and the sixth-most by a freshman in a game in school history. It marked the first time a true freshman has started at quarterback for Oklahoma State since Garret Rangel started at Kansas on November 5, 2022, and the most passing yards for an OSU freshman in any game since 2012.
🔼 Mighty Malcolm. With several of his defensive brothers sidelined for the Lions, former OSU standout Malcolm Rodriguez made sure to put Detroit fans at east on Sunday.
Rodriguez and the Lions continued their historic season with yet another win, rolling past Indianapolis, 24-6, to improve to 10-1 on the year.
After battling injuries early in the season, the former Poke balled out with eight tackles, seven of which were solo, marking his highest single-season total since 2022.
Postgame, he was awarded a game ball of his effort.
