🎥 OSUMAX: TRADITION CONTINUES, PART II

The tradition of excellence on the mats at OSU goes back for decades and decades.

The newest faces of Cowboy Wrestling are hoping to add to those chapters and you’ll get to know some of those faces in Part II of TRADITION CONTINUES: A New Era for Cowboy Wrestling, which is now LIVE on OSUMax.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Bedlam Is Upon Us. It’s a series that predates several generations.

For the 189th time, the OSU wrestling team will take the mats against the Sooners for the first edition of Bedlam in the David Taylor era.

The series dates back over 100 years to 1920. OSU has maintained a level of dominance ever since, building a 151-27-10 lead in the series and winning the previous 19 matchups in a row.

🔼 Bedlam Weekend, Part II. If you thought 189 meetings between the two schools were a lot, just wait until Saturday night when the men’s hoops programs from both schools face off for the 250th time.

OSU has won three of four entering its battle with the Sooners, who are a perfect 9-0 and sit at #13/#17 in the country.

🔼 Class Acts. It was a historic season on the pitch for the OSU soccer squad.

That success was not limited to the field as a pair of Cowgirls were honored for their work in the classroom.

Mollie Breiner collected CSC Academic All-America First Team honors, while Alex Morris was named to the third team. It marks the third time in program history that multiple Cowgirls have earned the distinction in the same season.

With their selections, Breiner and Morris become the ninth and 10th student-athletes in Cowgirl Soccer history to earn CSC Academic All-America status and the first since 2021. OSU's program now counts 13 CSC Academic All-America honors in its history.

🔼 Hardware For Hendrickson. When you go undefeated at an event that featured a bevy of ranked teams, you tend to turn some heads.

OSU heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson did exactly that last weekend at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and in doing so, earned himself the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week accolade.

Throughout the weekend, Hendrickson compiled a 5-0 record and did not let a single match even reach the third period. His performance included three pins, a technical fall and an injury default, ultimately earning him the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler award.

🔼 Riding High. OSU equestrian star Emma Filiatreau is literally riding high into the holidays.

This week, she was honored by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association as the Arion Sellier Reining Rider of the Month for November.

It's Filiatreau's first time receiving the national monthly award and her second overall recognition this season after earning the Big 12 Conference's honor for November. She is the first Cowgirl this season to earn the NCEA's monthly award.

With her accomplishment, Filiatreau becomes just the 11th Cowgirl in program history to earn the NCEA's monthly honor in Reining. Molly Mitchell was the last to do so, earning the title in March 2023.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

As we mentioned, OSU is looking for its 20th straight victory over OU when it hits the mats in Norman tonight.

It would tie the longest win streak in the series for OSU. When was the only other time that the Cowboys won 20 straight against the Sooners?
