Cowboys, Cowgirls Combine For 34 Runs In Three Wins On Sunday

Good Morning OSU Fam. You know how some use Sunday as a day of rest and reset to prepare for the week ahead?
Well, apparently, the OSU baseball and softball team already had enough rest and reset because they were quite active on the base paths yesterday!
What’s all stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below!

🎥 OSUMAX: LEADING THE WAY

This time of year in college athletics, there’s not many like it.
The tight battles on the court, knowing that every game can
swing who’s in and who’s out.
This week, Athletic Director Chad Weiberg sat down on the Orange Power Podcast
to talk about that and his new role within the College Basketball Selection committee.
📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Slugging Sunday. We think the Cowboys might enjoy the comforts of O’Brate a little.
OSU opened its 2025 home slate in a major way, pounding out 21 hits in an offensive explosion that led the way to a 19-4 victory over UT-Arlington on Sunday afternoon.
Leading the way for the Cowboys offense was Colin Brueggemann, who went 4-for-5 with four RBIs on the day, while Nolan Schubart added three hits and three RBIs.
All nine OSU starters recorded a hit in the victory.

🔼 Senior Salute. Skinny jeans were at their peak, Pharrell was tops on the music chart and 300: Rise Of An Empire had just hit box offices…. the year? 2014.
That was the last time the OSU women’s basketball team had 22+ wins in a season… until NOW.
The Cowgirls honored their seniors in the best possible way, rolling past Colorado, 82-65, to move to 22-5 overall and right in the mix for a top-four seed in next month’s Big 12 Tournament.
Stailee Heard’s monster year continued with a 26-point, seven-rebound performance, while Micah Gray and Anna Gret Asi both poured in 14 points apiece for OSU.

🔼 Going To Wark. A little schedule adjustment didn’t affect the Cowgirls as the OSU softball squad pounded out 16 hits and 15 runs in a Sunday sweep in Conway, Ark.
OSU started the day with a 10-0 run rule victory over SIUE and wrapped up the day with a hard-fought 5-2 win over South Dakota State.
Redshirt junior Micaela Wark went 3-for-6 on the day with two HRs, three runs scored and two RBIs to lead the offensive attack.
In the circle Ruby Meylan, RyLee Crandall and Katie Kutz combined to allow just five hits and two runs, while striking out 18 in 12 innings of work.

🔼 History Makers. Nothing like finishing with a bang.
The OSU men’s distance medley relay wrapped up the regular season with a historic performance, unleashing a time of 9:16.24, setting a new school record and posting the third best time in NCAA history and fourth in world history.
Brian Musau contributed a time of 2:50.94 in the opening 1,200-Meter leg, Jordon Smith ran a time of 46.83 in the 400 Meters, Mehdi Yanouri posted a time of 1:46.05 in the 800 Meters, and Ryan Schoppe turned in a time of 3:52.43 in the final 1,600-Meter leg.
