📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Havin’ A Blast. The scoreboard at O’Brate got quite a workout on Tuesday night.

OSU blasted six home runs en route to a 16-4 run-rule victory over 22nd-ranked Dallas Baptist.

Nolan Schubart led the charge, making history with his 50th and 51st career home runs. The Cowboys' junior slugger became the ninth player in program history to reach the 50-homer mark, and he now ranks eighth on OSU's all-time home run list.

Schubart was one of four Cowboys, along with Alex Conover, Jayson Jones and Colin Brueggemann, to record three hits against the Patriots.

Brueggemann, Conover, Jones and Brock Thompson all homered, with Jones' three-run blast in the seventh providing the walk-off runs.

On the mound, Hunter Watkins made his eighth start of the season, pitching five innings and allowing two runs, just one of them earned, while striking out seven.

🔼 On The Prowl. Only one team fired a round under par in Tuesday’s second day at the Big 12 men’s golf championship. That team wears America’s Brightest Orange.

OSU fired a one-under as a team to climb into second place in the overall standings, just four shots off Arizona State, who sits atop the leaderboard entering the third round today at Southern Hills.

Leading the way for the young Cowboys is Preston Stout, who sits in third overall at even par, while Ethan Fang is sixth overall at 2-over through the first two round.

🔼 Three Of A Kind. Good things come in three, right?

That’s the case for OSU softball’s Ruby Meylan, who was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season.

The Omaha, Neb., native picked up two wins in her two appearances against UCF, with a combined 20 strikeouts between both games, a mark that led the Big 12 Conference this week. In the Cowgirl's 7-0 win on Thursday, Meylan twirled one-hit, complete-game shutout and did not surrender any walks.

With the two wins, she improves to 17-6 on the year and is leading the team with a 1.66 ERA.

Meylan and the Cowgirls return to action TONIGHT at 7 p.m. when #2 Texas come to town for a non-conference matchup. The game will be televised on ESPNU and can be heard on the Varsity Network app.

🔼 Academic Aces. The success for the Pokes wasn’t limited to the field of competition this year.

On Monday night, track & field’s Ryan Schoppe and Sivan Auerbach were honored as the male and female scholar-athletes of the year, highlighting OSU Athletics’ academic awards banquet.

As the highest honor presented by the OSU Athletic Department to student-athletes, this award reflects exemplary performance in academic endeavors, athletic activities, and a commitment to community engagement. The award recognizes exceptional character of the student-athlete, leadership and a dedication to academic performance.

Stailee Heard (women's basketball) and Jaleel Johnson (football) secured the Nate Fleming Academic Effort and Improvement Award and 16 student-athletes across 15 sports were honored as Director's Chair winners for maintaining balance in academics while making a difference in their sports.

Across all of OSU's sports, approximately 130 student-athletes are expected to graduate during the 2024-25 academic year, with two earning Senior of Significance accolades from the OSU Alumni Association - Maddie Meiner and Colleen Stegmann (both from women's track and field). Additionally, Meiner was honored as one of 25 Outstanding Seniors on the OSU campus by the OSU Alumni Association.
