🔼 Closing Time. For the second straight day, the OSU men’s golf team was the only Big 12 school who shot under par and the Cowboys enter today’s final round with a six shot lead over #5 Arizona State.

Coach Bratton’s squad will be looking to capture the program's 12th Big 12 title and its 57th conference title overall. I

OSU's charge was led by Eric Lee, who fired a bogey-free 66 to climb into a tie for fourth place at 210 and finish the day as one of four Cowboys inside the top 10.

Joining Lee at 210 was sophomore Preston Stout, who carded his third consecutive 70.

Stout, who won the event last year, and Lee will begin their final rounds just one shot off the lead held by a trio of players.

🔼 Ticket Punched. While the men’s squad is looking to capture a conference title, the women’s squad is preparing for their trip to the NCAA Regionals.

On Wednesday, the Cowgirls learned its NCAA regional fate, earning the #5 seed in the Gold Canyon Regional, May 5-7 at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club near Phoenix, Ariz.

OSU will be seeking a fifth straight trip to the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship when action begins early next month.

Each of the top five finishers in the 14-team regional will advance to the NCAA Championship's final site, May 16-21 in Carlsbad, Calif. with an additional invitation extended to the top individual from a non-advancing team.

OSU has qualified for NCAA regional competition in 31 of the 32 full seasons since the format was introduced and reached the final site 22 times in that span. This will be the Pokes' sixth regional in the Copper State but first since 2003.

🔼 Show Stopper. The show stops with Sean.

Junior righthander Sean Youngerman may only be in his first season with Oklahoma State, but he’s already made a name for himself for the Cowboys.

On Wednesday, he was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Stopper of the Year Award Midseason Watch List. Fifty-six of the nation's top relief pitchers were included on the midseason list for the 20th annual award, which recognizes the best reliever in college baseball.

In 15 appearances this year, Youngerman is 1-1 with four saves and a 2.20 ERA for the Cowboys. In 28.2 innings of work, he has allowed just 17 hits, while walking only one and striking out 35.

🔼 Chart Climber. In his 12th MLB season, Andrew Heaney is still doing his thing.

The former Cowboy is shining for the Pittsburgh Pirates and last night, he put together one of his best performances of the year, tossing six shutout innings, allowing just one hit and striking out nine.

With his eighth strikeout of the night, he struck out perennial All-Star and four-time MVP Mike Trout for his 1,100th career punch out. He is one of just two former OSU standouts to reach 1,100 strikeouts at the MLB level.

On the season, Heaney is 2-1 with a 1.72 ERA for the Pirates.
