🔼 Acing Augusta. The fourth-ranked OSU golf squad wouldn’t go quietly in Augusta this weekend, storming to a rally in the final two holes to claim the co-title at the Haskins Award Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club on Sunday.

The fourth-ranked Cowboys posted a closing 10-under round of 278 to finish at 20-under par 844 and tied with Texas at the par-72, 7,086-yard layout.

OSU found itself within striking distance for much of the back nine before sophomores Gaven Lane, Ethan Fang and Eric Lee all birdied the 17th and 18th. Classmate Preston Stout made it seven birdies over the final two holes for the four counting scores with his birdie at the finishing hole to pull OSU even with the Longhorns.

The Cowboys have not finished outside the top three in six starts this spring, winning twice, finishing second three times and having a third-place finish as well. OSU closed its fall slate with its first win of the year.

🔼 How Sweep It Is. Facing one of the hottest teams in the Big 12, the OSU baseball squad flexed their muscles, sweeping their way past visiting Kansas State, who entered the weekend having won 11 of their past 12.

The arms of the Cowboys powered their way to a Sunday doubleheader sweep and the stick of Brayden Smith led the way offensively.

On the weekend, Smith went 7-for-13 with three extra base hits and five RBIs for the Pokes.

In the three games, the OSU hurlers limited the Wildcats to just four earned runs all weekend long, highlighted by a dominant shutout victory by Sean Youngerman in Sunday’s opener.

🔼 Senior Salute. No better way to send off the seniors than with a W.

The red-hot and 20th-ranked OSU women’s tennis team did just that on Saturday, rolling past visiting BYU (#55 nationally), 6-1 at Greenwood Tennis Center.

OSU claimed its ninth straight victory on Saturday, all of which have come against Big 12 opponents. The victory gives the Cowgirls their 10th  conference win for the second consecutive season and the fourth in program history.
