🔼 Ticket Punching. Fourth-seeded Oklahoma State women's golf punched its ticket to the NCAA Championship after finishing tied for third at the NCAA San Antonio Regional at TPC San Antonio on Wednesday.

With the result, the Cowgirls are headed to nationals for the third consecutive season and 29th time in program history. Excluding the canceled 2020 spring schedule, Greg Robertson has now led Oklahoma State to the NCAA Championship every season since being hired as head coach.

  • For the second tournament in a row, Clemence Martin finished tied for third, this time with a 2-under 214. She was par-or-better all three days at the 6,342-yard layout, signing off on rounds of 72-70-72.

  • Rina Tatematsu posted her best finish of the season following rounds of 76-69-70 (-1) 215, leading to fifth place.

  • Freshman Thitaporn Saithip continued her solid postseason with a top-25 finish at 8-over 224. Saithip fired a dozen birdies this week, most on the team, and her first round 70 was vital in the team race.

  • Maddison Hinson-Tolchard improved each day in San Antonio before finishing tied for 37th. The junior led the Cowgirls with 41 pars and has now played 56 consecutive rounds in which her score counted towards the overall team score.

  • Han-Hsuan Yu recorded an 8-over 80 to end her week tied for 51st.

Oklahoma State will return to action at the NCAA Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, starting May 19. The tournament will begin with four rounds of stroke play before moving to an eight-team match play bracket.

🔼 Postseason Pokes. 2022 Big 12 Softball tournament champion Oklahoma State opens postseason play when the No. 8/8 Cowgirls travel to Oklahoma City, to compete in the 2023 Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship at Hall of Fame Stadium from May 11-13.

The No. 3 seeded Cowgirls begin the tournament against No. 6 Kansas on Thursday; first pitch is slated for 3 p.m. CT.

Tournament History:

After beating Kansas and Texas to advance to last year's championship final, Oklahoma State claimed its first conference trophy of the Big 12 era with a 4-3 eight-inning win over No. 1/1 Oklahoma at the 2022 Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship.

🔼 Ring Me. Oklahoma State's Rachel Becker and Kelly Maxwell headline a group of seven Cowgirls who procured as the All-Big 12 recognition as the conference announced its 2023 softball yearly awards yesterday.

Rachel Becker and Kelly Maxwell were both named All-Big 12 first team members. Chyenne Factor, Katelynn Carwile and Lexi Kilfoyl earned All-Big 12 second-team honors. Kyra Aycock and Micaela Wark were named to the All-Big 12 freshman team.

With seven Cowgirls awarded All-Big 12 recognition, the 2023 Oklahoma State squad tied the 2021 Cowgirls for the most All-Big 12 honorees in a single season.

Combining the past, present and future of Oklahoma State football, the new base look for the Cowboys includes an unmistakable nod to the OSU teams of the 1980s, with "Oklahoma State" written atop bold jersey numbers on the front of the jersey and the familiar 1980s-era striping on the arms.

While the general look resembles that of the past, it has been modernized to reflect OSU's current marks and brand standards.

The modern version of the jerseys come in orange, black and white, with solid-color pants coming in the same three colors to maximize versatility. Having multiple options to choose from on a week-to-week basis remains true to Oklahoma State's more modern pattern of game day uniform variety.

Additional details on the jersey:

  • For the first time since 2005, OSU's jerseys include numbers on the shoulders.

  • The orange jersey features white numbers trimmed in black.

  • The black jersey features white numbers trimmed in orange.

  • There are two versions of the white jersey – one with orange numbers trimmed in black and one with black numbers trimmed in orange.

  • The stripe pattern on the arms was worn by each of the three current members of the Cowboy Football Ring of Honor – Bob Fenimore, Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders.
