📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Bedlam Ballin’. Oklahoma State opened the Bedlam Series with a 13-2 rout of Oklahoma last night at L. Dale Mitchell Park.

With the win, the 10th-ranked Cowboys improved to 36-15 overall and 14-8 in Big 12 play—while OU is now 29-23 and 10-12 in the conference. OSU is now within one game of West Virginia for first place in the league standings.

The two teams will return to action Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Seven selections to the NFCA Midwest All-Region teams ranks second in program history to the 2021 Oklahoma State squad, which totaled eight All-Region honorees.

All-Region first team members Kelly Maxwell, Lexi Kilfoyl, Micaela Wark and Chyenne Factor headlined the group.

Rachel Becker and Kiley Naomi were named to the All-Region second team.

For the fourth consecutive postseason, the Pokes begin the NCAA DI Softball Championship as host of the NCAA Stillwater Regional.

🔼 Transfer Time. Oklahoma State soccer has added two student-athletes to its 2023 roster with transfers Ellie Geoffroy and Nicole Ray joining head coach Colin Carmichael's Cowgirls.

Geoffroy comes to OSU after playing her freshman season at Oklahoma, while Ray spent the last three seasons at Utah Valley. Geoffroy has three seasons of eligibility remaining, while Ray has two.

The Cowgirls' group of incoming newcomers is now 13 strong, with 10 freshmen and three transfers.

🔼 Fightin’ Fix. Oklahoma State wrestler Daton Fix will make his anticipated return to freestyle wrestling at the 2023 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament on Sunday in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Fix is seeded third of seven wrestlers at 61 kg, but only the winner of the tournament will keep their world team hopes alive and advance to Final X where 2023 NCAA champion Vito Arujau is waiting.

The senior men's freestyle tournament will take place Sunday, May 21, at Discovery Canyon High School. Action will begin at 11 a.m. CT with finals scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

🔼 First Year Poke. Oklahoma State distance runner Billah Jepkirui was named Big 12 Women's Outstanding Freshman of the Year after winning her third conference title this past weekend, the conference announced Thursday.

This is the second seasonal award for the first-year Poke after being named Big 12 Women's Outstanding Freshman during the indoor season after helping the Cowgirls to their first conference championship in track & field. She is first Cowgirl to win the award outdoors after being the first Cowgirl to win the award indoors.

Up next for track & field is the NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento, Calif., from May 24-27, where she will look to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 1,500 Meters.

Keep winning. As the No. 6 national seed in the 2023 NCAA DI Softball Championship, the No. 9/9 Oklahoma State softball team (41-14 overall; 10-8 Big 12) hosts America East champion UMBC (26-15 overall), Nebraska (34-20) and Wichita State (43-10) in the NCAA Stillwater Regional at Cowgirl Stadium this weekend.

Mission Success. Six senior Cowgirl Softball players were honored with a special graduation ceremony after their annual trip to Broken Bow. The girls were honored by OSU President Dr. Kayse Shrum after the group didn’t get a chance to do the traditional ceremony at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
