Four Cowboys Selected On Second Day Of MLB Draft

Good Morning Pokes. It was a dream that they’ve had since they were old enough to hold a baseball.
On Monday, that dream became reality for four of our own.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 4️⃣4️⃣ DAYS
44 days away from kickoff..

Sometimes, you gotta give the special team units some love!
Wearing #4️⃣4️⃣ again this season will be junior long snapper, Shea Freibaum.
The Scottsdale, Ariz. native enters 2025 with 173 career long snaps without incident, including 121 punts and 52 place kicks. He has ranked as one of the top long snappers in the country since his senior year in high school.
Freibaum made one of the most important plays of last season, recovering a muffed punt late in the fourth quarter to help win the game against Arkansas.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Dreams Become Reality. It was a Monday that these four Cowboys will never forget.
After Nolan Schubart was taken in the third round on Sunday, Sean Youngerman was the first to hear his name called Monday when Philadelphia selected the right-hander in the fourth round with the 131st overall pick.
Up next was Gabe Davis, who was the first pick of the fifth round and went No. 137 overall to the Chicago White Sox. Harrison Bodendorf was a 10th-round selection by Cleveland, while Brayden Smith was taken in the 13th round by Baltimore.
With the selections of Schubart, Youngerman and Davis, it marks the second consecutive year and the sixth time in program history that three or more Cowboys were taken in the first five rounds (1967, 1983, 1984, 2007, 2024).

🔼 The Winner’s Circle. Good things come to those who wait, right?
Well, that’s the lesson Dillon Stewart learned on Monday as he had to wait an extra day to claim his first career PGA TOUR Americas victory.
After play was suspended on Sunday due to inclement weather, Stewart earned the top spot in his second career start at the Bromont Open presented by Desjardins.
He earned his first win in his second career PGA TOUR-sanctioned start, after earning membership for the 2025 North America Swing through PGA TOUR Americas Q-School in June.
Stewart graduated OSU in 2023 as a two-time All-Big 12 Academic team honoree.
