🔼 In The Hunt. 18 holes down, 54 to go at The 2025 Open Championship at Portrush.

Two Cowboys find themselves in the hunt after day one with Rickie Fowler sitting in a tie for 11th with a two-under par on the first day, while Viktor Hovland is just five strokes back of the leaders at one-over.

Reigning national champion Ethan Fang made his major debut with a four-over, matching the scores of former major champions Brooks Koepka and Jordan Speith.

🔼 Putting The STUDENT in Student-Athletes. This week, OSU earned an Academic Team Excellence Award from the National Association of Basketball Coaches and placed a program record six players on the Honors Court.

Arturo Dean, C.J. Smith, Kirk Cole, Mikey Kelvin, Patrick Suemnick and Robert Jennings all made the Honors Court, which was open to junior, senior or graduate level students with GPA's of 3.2 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year.

Academic Team Excellence honors are given to programs achieving at least a 3.0 GPA.

The Cowboys cleared that bar with ease, posting a combined 3.14 GPA during the fall semester and 3.51 this spring to win the award for the second time in the last three seasons.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 4️⃣1️⃣ DAYS

41 days away from kickoff..

This one is one that Cowboy fans still talk about nearly 15 years later.

The 2012 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, a shootout for the ages, a victory that will live in OSU lore forever…. a thrilling 4️⃣1️⃣-38 victory over Andrew Luck and the fourth-ranked Stanford Cardinal.

Those Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon fellas were kinda good that day.

Weeden finished with 399 yards passing and three TDs, all three went to Blackmon, who was the talk of the college football world after his eight catch, 186-yard performance in the contest.
