🎥 OSUMAX: AND THE AWARD GOES TO…
This past weekend, “Out Of Nowhere: The Barry Sanders Story” took home Heartland Regional Emmy for the best Sports Program Post-Produced or Edited.
“This is such an incredible honor for our team at OSUMax and our partners at OSU Athletics. Our goal is always to be able to tell quality stories that impact our schools and communities and Barry did that and then some in Stillwater. This piece did a tremendous job of finding those connections and allowing folks behind the scenes of what was a legendary career for Barry,” Sport & Story President Victor Vitarelli said. “There were so many people that helped build the connections and allow our highly-talented crew in Jason Caroll and Joshua Cleary to tell a special story. We can’t wait to continue to tell more of these types of stories.
“Out Of Nowhere: The Barry Sanders Story” relived the glory days of one of the greatest college football players in the game’s history, taking you through the recruitment and OSU career of Hall of Famer Barry Sanders.
Hear from Barry, former players, former coaches and so much more as the original film takes you through an electric time in Stillwater.

🔼 Pokin’ Around. It was quite the weekend at The Open Championship for the former Pokes in attendance.
Wyndham Clark made a strong push in Sunday’s final round, shooting a six-under to finish fourth overall.
Rickie Fowler was once again solid all weekend long, finishing at eight-under for the weekend, good for a top-15 finish.
Reigning national champion Ethan Fang teed it up in his first major and while he narrowly missed the cut, he did earn. the top amateur finisher at three-over.

🔼 California Love. OSU legend Marcus Smart will take the court in his 12th NBA season wearing a brand new uniform.
Over the weekend, Smart agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers after spending the back half of last season with the Washington Wizards.
Smart is a three-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Team and is just six steals away from becoming just the 22nd active player in the league with 1000 or more career steals.

🔼 Speedy And Smart. Add another piece of hardware to Ryan Schoppe’s mantle.
This past week, the OSU distance runner earned third team Academic All-American honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
This marks the second straight season Schoppe has been named to the CSC Academic All-America third team, becoming the fourth Cowboy track athlete to be named to the team on multiple occasions.
Overall, Schoppe is the 132nd OSU student-athlete to be named a CSC Academic All-American and the 25th to be named to multiple teams.
⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 3️⃣8️⃣ DAYS
38 days away from kickoff..
Last week we highlighted the duo of Weeden and Blackmon.
This time, we’re highlighting another legendary QB/WR duo in Mason Rudolph and James Washington, who ushered the Cowboys to a 3️⃣8️⃣-8 thrashing of Colorado in the 2016 Alamo Bowl to help the Cowboys finish with a 10-3 mark.
Rudolph passed for 314 yards and three touchdowns and Washington caught nine passes for 171 yards and a score as the #13 Cowboys routed #11 Colorado.
Defensively, Oklahoma State smothered a Buffaloes team that had played for the Pac-12 championship, holding them to 318 total yards and shutting them out for three quarters.
