🏈 BEING WATCHED

Folks, we’ve entered “Watch List Season.”

On Thursday, a pair of Pokes joined the Watch List party as Alan Bowman earned a spot on the 2024 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, while
Brennan Presley was named to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award.

The Allstate Wuerffel Trophy is college football's premier award for community service and one of the most meaningful awards in collegiate sports.

Some of Bowman's time spent serving the community include partnering with Access Scholarships to award a $1,000 "Sack the Stigma" scholarship to a student who recognizes the importance of speaking out about mental health, working alongside the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health to create awareness about the 988 Oklahoma Mental Health Lifeline, speaking to youth groups in various cities about the importance of mental health and volunteering to help raise funds for Cowboys vs. Cancer.

The Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most
versatile player in major college football.

One of the biggest playmakers on the roster, Presley has excelled on offense and special teams throughout his four years at Oklahoma State. He enters the 2024 season boasting some of the best career numbers in OSU history, ranking fourth in career catches with 225, seventh in receiving yards with 2,548 yards and 12th in receiving touchdowns with 16. Presley's 1,219 career kickoff return yards places him fifth on the all-time OSU list and is just outside the top 10 in all-purpose yards with 4,108.

⛳️ TEE TIME

No, no, we’re not talking about enjoying a tea and a baguette by the Louvre. This was a different type of tee time for a quarter of former Cowboys.

Alex Noren (Sweden) fired a four-under 67 to finish in the top-10 of the opening round at the 2024 Olympics on Thursday.

Viktor Hovland (Norway), Wyndham Clark (USA) and Kris Ventura (Norway) will look to climb up the leaderboard over the next three days of action from Paris.

⏱ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 29 DAYS

Number of the Day: 29

After a standout sophomore season in Stillwater, Ollie Gordon II was an unanimous All-American selection for the Cowboys in 2023.

His recognition marked the 29th All-American during the
19-plus year tenure of Head Coach Mike Gundy.

Who’s going to make it 30+ in year 20 for Coach Gundy?

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

As we mentioned, during Coach Gundy’s tenure at the helm of the Cowboys, OSU has garnered 29 All-American accolades.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Dez Bryant, Perrish Cox and Kendall Hunter.

A little bit of a trick question, but all three standouts earned the All-American honor in 2008.

🤠 Have a great weekend, Cowboy Country!
