🎥 OSUMAX: THE BEST OF THE YEAR

It’s been quite a year for OSUMax.

As we wrap up the month of June, we’ll relive some of the
greatest moments and videos of the year with the Top-10
OSUMax features of the year.

There’s nothing we love more than getting to know and understand
the stories behind our beloved Pokes.

OSUMax does that and did it in an incredible way with
OSU softball’s Scotland David.

David is a walking testament to not giving up. The Ponte Vedra, Florida native, has overcome personal losses and season ending injuries, remaining at
OSU to fulfill her childhood dream of playing for the Cowgirls.

This feature went in-depth about the perseverance of Scotland and how each obstacle is made her stronger as she finished her career with Cowgirl Softball.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Oui Oui. Paris or bust! Not a bad way to spend the summer.

Four Cowboys will do exactly that as Wyndham Clark (USA), Viktor Hovland (Norway), Alex Noren (Sweden) and Kris Ventura (Norway) all clinched their spots in the upcoming 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The men’s qualification period for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games commenced on 17 June 2022 and concluded following the U.S. Open on 17 June 2024. The top 15 world-ranked players were eligible for the Olympics, with a limit of four players from a given country.

Beyond the top 15, players were eligible based on the Official World Golf Ranking, with a maximum of two eligible players from each country that did not already have two or more players among the top 15. The host country – France – was guaranteed at least one spot, as is each of the five continents of the Olympics.

Clark, who’s representing the United States, is the fifth-ranked overall golfer, Hovland, who’s representing Norway, is the sixth-ranked overall golfer, Noren, who represents Sweden, is the 26th ranked golfer and Kris Ventura, who’s also representing Norway, is the No. 56 ranked golfer.

🔺 Great Scot(land). Now that you’ve learned her story, the achievements of Scotland David may be even more impressive.

Her resume grew longer this week as the now OSU grad was named the Big 12 Student-Athlete of the Month for the Pokes for the month of May.

The conference selects a winner from each school that not only excel at their sport, but also demonstrate leadership, perseverance, and strong commitments to academics and community service.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 72 DAYS

Number of the Day: 72

That’s the completion percentage of the 2011 OSU Cowboys,
a single-season team record that still remains to this day.

Led by the right arm of Brandon Weeden, the Pokes lit up their opponents
to the tune of a 12-1 record and berth in the Fiesta Bowl.

🎥 OSUMAX: ROLLIN’ WITH BARRY

No better way to help countdown til Cowboy football than
reliving one of the best players in college football history!

A two-part OSU Max Original, Barry Sanders: Out of Nowhere, tells the story of how Barry became Barry, weaving through his childhood in Wichita and the pivotal moments that shaped his legendary career.

Through exclusive interviews with his family, close friends,
former teammates, coaches and Barry himself,
Barry Sanders: Out of Nowhere provides an
unprecedented glimpse into the Cowboy icon.
