📈 STOCK UP

🔺 We’ll Take A Dozen, Please. If junior Colin Brueggemann was a character in the ole NBA Jam games, he’d be “En Fuego.”

The lefty slugger posted his third consecutive multi-hit performance to lead the Cowboys to a 12-2 rout of Utah Tech on Wednesday afternoon at O’Brate Stadium.

Brueggeman finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs and was just a HR shy of the cycle. He is now 7 for his last 11 with seven runs scored and seven RBIs in his past three games.

Freshman Avery Ortiz also had a three-hit day, including his second HR in the past three games.

🔺 Saddlin’ Up. Earlier this week, we talked about how you always remember your first, right?

Well, Grace McReynolds and Tristan Bagby of the OSU equestrian squad will vouch for that as both riders earned their first career Big 12 Riders of the Month accolades.

McReynolds earned the accolade in Fences, while Bagby shares the honor in Reining with TCU's Giorgia Medows.

🔺 Walk It Off. Nothing like a little midweek drama to get the heartbeat going, huh?

Three RBIs from freshman Rosie Davis, including the game-winner, capped off a walk-off, extra-inning 4-3 victory for the fourth-ranked Cowgirls softball squad over visiting Wichita State.

With the win, OSU has now won 12 straight and improve to 18-2 overall heading into this weekend’s showdown in Waco with #14 Baylor to kickoff Big 12 play.

Fellow freshman Karli Godwin also had a big night with three hits and scored the winning run on Davis’ single through the right side.

🔺 Rising Star. Last year, former OSU star Victor Mederos got his first taste of the big leagues with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

With us being just a few weeks away from the start of the 2024 MLB season, it’s pretty clear that Victor is ready to take on the main dish.

Mederos has been outstanding this spring for the Angels, tossing six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out nine.

On Tuesday night, the right-hander tossed three innings and struck out five against the World Series favorite, Los Angeles Dodgers. In that mix, he struck out three MLB All-Stars.

Former OSU guard Daniel Bobik celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Cowboys trip to the Final Four with several of his teammates.

Relive the 2003-04 season with Bobik as he sits down with Tom Dirato at the OSU Men's Basketball Reunion.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

As we mentioned above, Colin Brueggemann came up just a HR shy of the cycle in Wednesday’s home victory.

Who was the last Cowboy to hit for the cycle?

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Christian Encarnacion-Strand.

You might recognize that guy, huh?

CES achieved the cycle back on April 21, 2021 when he went 5-for-5 with four RBIs in a home win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He is one of five Cowboys since 2000 to hit for the cycle (Garrett Benge, J.R. Davis, Zach Johnson and Josh Fields).

🤠 Let’s have a great one!
