🔼 Dynamic Duo. The future of Cowboys baseball is in great hands with Carson Benge and Nolan Schubart leading the way. This week, the duo was named to the 2023 NCBWA Freshman All-America Second Team.

Benge was named to the team as a utility player as he established himself as a two-way standout in his redshirt freshman season. He batted .345 with 17 doubles, seven HRs and 43 RBIs. He was also went 2-2 on the mound for the Cowboys. The All-Big 12 First Team honoree was named a semifinalist for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award.

Schubart was among the Big 12 Conference's top hitters, hitting .338 to go along with 20 doubles, 17 homers and 74 RBIs. The Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Year and an All-Big 12 First Team outfielder, Schubart ranked in the top 10 in the conference in eight offensive categories. His 74 RBIs are the most by an OSU player since Tyler Mach's 81 in 2007.

🔼 A Nice Ring To It. Mark down Saturday, October 14 in your calendars. You’ve got a date with Boone Pickens Stadium.

The two-time All-American will join the esteemed group of Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders, and Bob Fenimore. In his collegiate career, Miller played in 43 games, totaling 871 carries for 4,754 rushing yards, 49 rushing touchdowns, 5.5 yards per carry and 110.6 rushing yards per game. He is still the only player in OSU history to finish his career with three 1,000-yard rushing seasons, and he ranked fourth in career rushing in NCAA history following his final season.

🔼 Speaking Of Rings. Former OSU hoops standout Stephen Graham added a ring to his collection after the Denver Nuggets captured the 2022-2023 NBA Title this week.

Graham, who spent two years in Stillwater (2003-05), has been a Player Development Coach with the Nuggets since 2016.

As a Cowboy, Graham was a First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection and his career with OSU was highlighted by a 22-point performance against Gonzaga in the fall of 2004.

🔼 Waiting On The Call. At this point, it’s just a matter of time.

Former Cowboy star Christian Encarnacion-Strand has been DOMINATING Triple-A in the Reds organization and added to his resume this week, being named the International League’s Player of the Week, that comes after earning Player of the Month honors in May.

This past week, he was 10-for-19 with three HRs, two doubles, nine runs scored, eight RBIs. He had an on-base percentage of .640 — that’s kinda good.

On the year, he is hitting .362 with 13 doubles, one triple, 17 HRs, 41 runs scored and 46 RBIs.

Let’s make sure the phone is charged up Christian, don’t want to miss that call.
