And another one….

The Oklahoma State Cowboys took down the Texas A&M Aggies in the TaxAct Texas Bowl to win the program's 10th game of the season.

It is the eighth time the Cowboys have won 10 or more games under Coach Gundy.

Deion Imade and Clint Chelf break down the win, the season and look ahead to what is coming back in 2024 on this episode of The Old Pokes Show.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Let’s Close It Out. The red-hot OSU men’s hoops squad brings a four-game winning streak into tonight’s non-conference finale when Chicago State visits GIA.

Veteran Bryce Thompson scored 17 points to lead the Pokes to an 86-70 win over SC State before the new year, now he’ll look to do it again in 2024.

🔺 Southern Gentlemen. While he grew up in Kansas, Kyle Haas proved he fit in just fine down south.

The redshirt sophomore was one of six Cowboys to travel to the annual Southern Scuffle hosted by UT-Chattanooga this week.

Haas was outstanding, picking up three wins, including defeating #15 Nick Stemmet of Stanford en route to a second-place finish at the event.

🔺 Business Trip. Freshman sensation Stailee Heard and the OSU women’s hoops team hits the road for the front end of a two-game business trip, taking on Big 12 newcomer, UCF, in Orlando tonight.

Heard, who is the reigning Big 12 Freshman of the Week, is on pace to chase the highest scoring average by a freshman in program history.

Tonight could mark the OSU debut for Emilee Ebert, a grad transfer who joined the squad during holiday break. Ebert spent the previous four seasons at Kansas State.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

Stailee Heard is having one of the best freshman seasons in program history. Literally.

Heard enters tonight’s road showdown with UCF ranked 25th in the country with a 59.3 field goal percentage.

She is currently averaging 15.1 points per game, over a point better than the program’s all-time record for scoring average by a freshman.

Which Cowgirl legend currently holds that mark?

🤠 A TRUE COWBOY

Very few throughout the history of OSU embodied the Poke spirit like Dick Soergel.

During his time in Stillwater, Soergel played three sports, earning letters with the football, basketball and baseball squads, including playing in five different NCAA postseason events.

No better time to throw it back to an OSUMax Rewind, a Cowboys Face-to-Face with Soergel himself.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Clinette Jordan in 1985-86.

Way before Stailee Heard was even thought of, Jordan poured in 13.9 points per game during her freshman season of 1985-86 for the Cowgirls. That record still stands nearly 40 years later.

🤠 See you at GIA TONIGHT!
