🔼 Silly Rabbits. A sold out Boone Pickens Stadium was treated to quite a show in Saturday’s season opener.

Ollie Gordon II picked up where he left off with three TDs and a 100+ yard performance, while Alan Bowman threw for three TDs himself to lead a route of two-time defending FCS national champion South Dakota State, 44-20.

Bowman completed 24 of 33 passes for 265 yards in the opener for both teams. He threw scoring passes of 6 yards to Brennan Presley, 22 yards to Gordon and 58 yards to Rashod Owens.

Gordon, a junior who won the Doak Walker Award as the nation's top running back last season, carried 27 times for 104 yards and two scores.

Defensively, Trey Rucker (15) and Nick Martin (10) combined for 25 tackles, with Martin and Collin Oliver each recording sacks in the victory.

🔼 California Love. Most of the current OSU soccer team wasn’t in middle school the last time the Cowgirls were 5-0.

That changed on Saturday with another stifling defensive performance as OSU brought home a 3-0 road victory over San Diego State.

Logan Heausler scored two goals for the Cowgirls, while Grace Gordon nearly tied her career-high with seven saves as OSU posted their fifth straight shutout to start the 2024 campaign.

The Cowgirls have outscored the opposition 11-0 in the first five games.
