🔼 On The Road. Traveling to Lubbock, Texas, for its final conference road trip of the 2023 season, No. 7/7 Oklahoma State softball takes on the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Rocky Johnson Field from April 28-30.

The first game of the conference series is set for 6:30 p.m. CT Friday. Saturday's game gets started 2 p.m. CT and Sunday's series finale is slated for noon CT.

Series History

Oklahoma State owns a 50-24 series lead over Texas Tech, including an 18-14 record in games played in Lubbock.

In his eight-year tenure as head coach of the Cowgirls, Kenny Gajewski is 15-4 all-time versus Texas Tech. A season ago, OSU opened its 2022 conference slate with a sweep of the Red Raiders in Stillwater, one of the Cowgirls' four conference sweeps that season.

In its dominating performance against TTU last year, OSU outscored the Red Raiders, 32-2, outhit TTU, 31-8, and claimed two of its three victories via five-inning run rule.

🔼 Five Stars. Oklahoma State's men's golf team wrapped up the final day of action at the Big 12 Championship on Wednesday with a 288 during its fourth round to finish in fifth place at Prairie Dunes Country Club.

The Cowboys finished with a 24-over total of 1,144 to come in a shot behind Texas and three shots off the pace of Texas Tech. TCU was second at 1,137, while Oklahoma claimed the team title at 1,119 at the par-70, 7,025-yard layout.

  • OSU's Jonas Baumgartner took the runner-up spot after posting a closing 70 to finish at 7-under 273. The finish comes on the heels of the junior's first career victory in the Cowboys' last outing at the Mountaineer Invitational.

  • Fifth-year Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen carded a closing 74 to finish at 287 and in 11th place.

  • Fellow fifth year Leo Oyo's second consecutive 72 tied him for 21st place at 291, while junior Bo Jin closed with a 74 to finish at 299 and tied for 34th place.

  • Senior Dillon Stewart entered the lineup for the final round as a substitute and carded a 2-over 72.

The previous OSU men's basketball record for Academic All-Big 12 selections in a single season was five in 2021, also under head coach Mike Boynton.

OSU's representatives on the 2023 first team were Kalib Boone, Bernard Kouma, Carson Sager and Weston Church. Avery Anderson, Tyreek Smith and Bryce Thompson were second-team selections.

🔼 Pay It Fourward No. 22 Oklahoma State women's golf is set for a trip back to Texas, where it will compete as the fourth-seed at the NCAA San Antonio Regional at TPC San Antonio from May 8-10, it was announced Wednesday.

The season marks Oklahoma State's 29th NCAA Regional appearance, having qualified for regional play in 29 of the last 30 seasons, excluding the cancelled spring schedule in 2020. The Cowgirls will be competing for their consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship.

Oklahoma State enters San Antonio as one of just four teams ranked in the top-25 according to GolfStat. Top-seed Texas A&M is the field's highest ranked squad at No. 6, with Auburn close behind at No. 7. Pepperdine ranks eighteenth, while SMU sits just outside the top-25 at No. 27.
