Good Morning Cowboys and Cowgirls. We all strive for it, but we all fall short… except the OSU women’s tennis squad.

🎥 CELEBRATING A LEGEND

This morning, we celebrate a true legend and a Cowboy through and through.

John Smith will officially retire this morning at a news conference in Stillwater.

Watch and celebrate the career of the G.O.A.T. as OSUMax brings you live coverage of this morning’s press conference at 10 a.m. CST.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Flawless. No, we’re not talking about another T-Swift album. We’re talking about the top-ranked Cowgirls.

OSU completed their first-ever undefeated regular season, sweeping through Kansas State, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon at Greenwood Tennis Center.

The win improves the Cowgirls to 24-0 overall (13-0 in Big 12 play), both setting program records. It also clinches the outright Big 12 regular season championship for the Orange & Black, their first since 2017.

🔺 Sweet Sweepin’. Watch out world… the Cowboys are heating up.

The 20th-ranked OSU baseball squad had a sweet weekend at O’Brate, sweeping through its Big 12 series with Cincinnati by the scores of 8-4, 12-5 and 10-6.

With the three wins, the Orange & Black have now won 12 of its past 14 games.

On the weekend, OSU pounded out eight HRs, including two grand slams.

🔺 What A Weekend! This time of year, you can find Cowboy and Cowgirl track & field all over the country.

Weekends are never a rest period for the Pokes as they were spread out at three different meets and boy did they show out.

Records set, regional marks reached and so much more during a busy few days for America’s Brightest Orange.

The biggest highlight may have come Friday night at the Bryan Clay Invitational in California when Brian Musau had an electric finish in the 5,000m to break a 12-year-old program record with a time of 13:13.29.

The freshman's winning time also puts him No. 6 in NCAA history to add to an already impressive resume that includes the No. 5 3K time in NCAA history indoors, a national championship in the Distance Medley Relay and an eighth-place finish at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

🎥 COWBOY CART TALK

Rashod Owens had a breakout season in 2023 with 63 receptions, 895 yards and five touchdowns.

Rashod is also the first wide receiver in history to win Texas Bowl MVP honors as he made 10 receptions for a Texas Bowl-record 164 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Texas A&M.

🤠 HELL OF A RIDE, COWBOY

33 years.
5 National Championships.
33 NCAA Individual Champions.
490 dual wins.
153 All-American honors.
23 Team Conference Titles.

The list could go on and on and on.

Last week, that resume became complete as OSU legend John Smith announced his retirement after a 33-year run as the head coach of the Cowboy wrestling program.

Smith, 58, is the longest tenured wrestling coach in Oklahoma State history and trails only James Wadley (men's tennis) and Henry Iba (men's basketball) as the longest tenured head coaches at OSU, regardless of sport.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

In their recent hot streak (12-2 in past 14 games), the OSU baseball boys have dialed up the power surge.

After hitting eight HRs in this weekend’s series, the Cowboys now have 55 HRs as a team and 24 in the past 10 games.

How many different players have at least five or more HR this season?

🏀 STAYING HOME

Coach Lutz made his first official hire to his staff last week as he announced that former OSU star Keiton Page was staying with the Cowboys and will serve as an assistant coach.

Last year, OSU’s own Doug Gottlieb was joined by Page in a special episode of “A Place Like This” that you just can’t miss.
