🔼 Four More Sleeps. A sold out BPS. A nationally-ranked Cowboy squad. A gorgeous Saturday in Stillwater. What more can we ask for?

No better way to start of the fall than one of the best FCS programs in the country coming to Stillwater to test the Cowboys right away.

As the Cowboys enter preparation week for the season opener, Coach Gundy and some of the guys sat down to give us a preview of what’s ahead.

🔼 First Impressions. Usually it doesn’t look this easy, but for most OSU fans, they’re used to seeing Lexi Kilfoyl defy the odds.

Kilfoyl was the only pitcher in the entire league to throw a complete game shutout, which she did not once, but twice in the same week.

In all, she start started nine games and finished with a 7-3 record, throwing the most innings of any hurler with 59 innings on the season. She also led in ERA at 2.23 and strikeouts with 39 total.

🔼 Movin’ On Up. While he’s not moving up on the east side, former OSU star Carson McCusker is just one step away from his dream becoming a reality.

This past weekend, McCusker, who is in his first season with the Twins organization, was promoted to Triple-A Saint Paul after absolutely raking at Double-A Wichita where he was hitting .281 with 26 doubles, three triples and 15 HRs, while driving in 64.

After graduating from OSU, McCusker began his professional career with the Tri-City ValleyCats. In three seasons with the ValleyCats, he hit .326/.383/.612 in 145 games. He finished his tenure with the ValleyCats with 29 homers, third all-time in their franchise’s history.

With the Cowboys, McCusker was a two-time Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection.

In 2023, it’s tough to find someone who burst onto
the scene bigger than Nick Martin.

In his first year as a starter at OSU, Martin led the Big 12 in tackles (140)
and solo tackles (83), which were both the highest mark by any
Big 12 player since 2018.

Even before stepping onto the field this fall, Martin has already earned recognition as a preseason All-American and member of the watch lists for the Chuck Bednarik Award, Lombardi Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Butkus Award.

🎥 OSUMAX: CALLING THE COWBOYS, EP. 3

their 20th season together calling Oklahoma State Football games.
