On Tuesday afternoon, former OSU standout Viktor Hovland became the third member of Team Europe’s Ryder Cup roster, joining stars Jon Rahm and Rory McIlory.

He currently sits No.5 in the World Golf Rankings with four PGA Tour wins and two on the DP World Tour. This year will be his second consecutive Ryder Cup appearance.

A top-20 finisher in each of golf's four majors this season, including runner-up at the PGA Championship, Hovland hasn't missed a cut in 18 PGA Tour starts this year.

The Ryder Cup begins Sept. 29 at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club near Rome.

🔼 Earning His Stripes. He hasn’t even worn the Orange and Black yet, but he’s already turning heads… that’s how you make a first impression.

Incoming OSU wrestler Christian Carroll is having quite a showing for Team USA at the U20 World Championships this week in Amman, Jordan.

Carroll started his first day with a 2-1 mark and is one win away from a berth in the bronze medal match. His only loss comes to defending champion Amirreza Masoumi of Iran.

This morning, the repechage matches got under way at 2 a.m. CT, while the medal matches are scheduled for 10 a.m. CT.

🔼 Going Down Under. Just a few weeks before school started, the Cowboys tennis team got a little better with some help from Down Under.

No, they didn’t go snorkeling on the Barrier Reef, although that would be cool. No, they didn’t get a kangaroo as a mascot… Pistol Pete does just fine.

OSU signed incoming freshman Derek Pham for the upcoming season. A native of Perth, Australia, he currently holds an ATP singles ranking of 871 and a doubles ranking of 1491.

The 19-year-old will arrive in Stillwater with a long list of accolades from his junior career. Pham cracked the ATP top 1,000 this year when he won a qualifying match at the Burnie Challenger in Burnie, Australia.

He made his Grand Slam debut in the Australian Open in the 2023 qualifying round.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 17 DAYS

When talking about the greatest athletes to ever play at OSU, it’s tough to argue against #17 R.W. McQuarters.

Defensive back? ✅
Wide receiver? ✅
Kick and punt returner? ✅

Oh yeah, he also played three years of basketball for the Cowboys.

A Tulsa native, he stayed in home state and played for the Orange and Black and we couldn’t be more thrilled as he wowed us for years. As a junior, he ranked second in the nation averaging nearly 17 yards a punt return, including one he rank back for a TD. He also caught two TDs and ran one in for OSU.

He was a first round draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 1998 and went on to 12 seasons in the NFL, including winning the Super Bowl with the New York Giants in 2008.

The Beggs, Oklahoma native came into Stillwater in 2021 as a highly recruited player who originally committed to Texas A&M before switching to Oklahoma State.
