Good Morning Pokes. The 4th of July may not be for another month, but plenty of Cowboys and Cowgirls were feeling pretty patriotic this weekend.

A slew of All-American accolades and a pair of Cowboys trying to earn their stars & stripes this summer.

Weโ€™ll recap it all in todayโ€™s Brew! Check it out below!

๐Ÿ”บ Hardware Haul. It was truly a year to remember for the OSU Track & Field and Cross Country programs.

It started in the fall with the menโ€™s cross country squad capturing the National Championship.

It ended over the weekend with the womenโ€™s track & field squad earning the second highest NCAA Championship finish in program history.

What a stay in Eugene for the Pokes, who brought home seven All-American accolades, led by Taylor Roe, who captured her second All-American honor of the weekend on Saturday with a sixth-place finish in the 5000m. The Cowgirl legend picked up her third career All-America honor outdoors to along with her four in cross country and five indoors.

๐Ÿ”บ Power Pair. The 2024 resume grew a little longer for the OSU duo of Isaac Becroft and Tyler Zink.

The Cowboy tandem, which finished the season ranked No. 10 and garnered first-team All-Big 12 honors, was one of 16 doubles pairings in the country to earn All-American status by the ITA.

Zink and Becroft finished the season 7-1 with six ranked wins. The Cowboy duo advanced to the sweet 16 of the NCAA Doubles Championships, ultimately falling to Duke's Garrett Johns and Pedro Rodenas.

The criteria for ITA All-America honors include earning a top 16 seed into the NCAA Singles Championship, advancing to the round of 16 at the NCAA Championship, or finishing in the top 20 of the final ITA Singles Rankings.

๐Ÿ”บ Earning Their (Stars &) Stripes. A pair of Cowboys have Carolina on their mind.

OSU sophomore standouts Nolan Schubart and Gabe Davis have been invited to the 2024 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp.

Schubart and Davis are among a group of 56 of the premier non-draft eligible players who will attend the training camp in Cary, North Carolina, and compete in a two-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series on June 26 and 27.

USA Baseball will name the final Collegiate National Team-inclusive of an International Friendship Series roster and a Summer League Tour roster following training camp on June 29.

The International Friendship Series roster will face Chinese Taipei in a five-game series in North Carolina, while an additional 28-man roster will compete in the Summer League Tour against select teams from the Appalachian League and the Coastal Plain League. On July 4, the two U.S. Collegiate National Teams will take on each other in Fayetteville, N.C.

๐ŸŽ‰ TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Girma Mecheso in 2012.

Musau joined Jon Wild (1997), Ryan Vail (2008 & 2009) and Mecheso (2012) as the only Cowboys to achieve First Team All-American honors in the 5000m.
