📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Havin’ A Blast. Hopefully the light bulbs on the scoreboard at O’Brate were changed recently because they definitely got a workout on Thursday night.

The Cowboys had a BLAST in the series opener against BYU, racking up a season-high six HRs en route to a 17-6 victory over the Cougars.

Carson Benge and Nolan Schubart each went deep twice, while Ian Daugherty and Avery Ortiz also homered.

Schubart had season-highs with four hits and five RBIs, while Benge was 3-for-4 and drove in three runs. Daugherty set a career high with five RBIs.

Benge also picked up the win on the mound in his first start of the season, improving to 1-1; the right-hander worked five innings, striking out six while allowing just one run on three hits.

🔺 Walkin’ The Plank. The Cowboys will be looking to invade the Pirate ship this upcoming December.

OSU received its opponent for Round 6️⃣ of the Big East/Big 12 battle with December 8th showdown against Seton Hall set for the 2024-25 season.

OSU-Seton Hall is one of 11 matchups between teams from the Big 12 and BIG EAST conferences scheduled to take place from Dec. 3-8, 2024.

Matchups are jointly determined by the two conferences, with the home team choosing the venue of its game. Broadcast arrangements for the contests will be determined by the national television rights holder of the home team, which is FOX Sports for the BIG EAST and ESPN for the Big 12.

Game times and television networks will be announced when available.

🔺 Hey Now, Hayden!. Oh you know, just another trip on the mats among the best in the country for Cowboy wrestlers.

Redshirt freshman Hayden Simpson had a huge showing at this week’s U.S. Open Championships in Las Vegas.

Simpson fell just short of a Greco-Roman title, finishing runner-up at 130 kg. With the result, Simpson still secured a spot at the U20 World Team Trials this summer.
