Happy Thursday Pokes. FINALLLYYYY!!!
Not that we were counting or anything, but when first pitch is thrown this afternoon in Northridge, Calif, we’d have waited 248 days, 20 hours and 21 minutes for the return of Cowgirl softball.
We made it! The day is finally here. We can’t wait!

🔺 The Wait Is Over. As we mentioned above, it’s been a while since the Cowgirls have been on the diamond.
That changes TODAY when the Orange & Black take on Cal State-Northridge with first pitch set for 3 pm from the West Coast.
Its the first of five games in Southern California which helps OSU kick off their 50th season in program history.
Five starters are back from Oklahoma State's 2023 Women's College World Series team that was No. 6 in the final rankings: 2023 All-America pitcher Lexi Kilfoyl, 2023 freshman All-American Tallen Edwards, 2023 all-region selection Micaela Wark, 2023 Big 12 all-freshman honoree Kyra Aycock and 2022 all-region selection Megan Bloodworth.
🔺 The Spark Plug. Two wins in three days is always impressive.
Even more impressive when it comes against two top-15 wrestlers.
That’s the week redshirt freshman Troy Spratley put together, which earned him Big 12 Wrestler of the Week accolades.
🔺 Saddle Up, Seattle. Four top-15 wins. Two top-10 wins.
That’s what is on the resume of the 2024 OSU Cowgirls tennis team, who enters this weekend’s ITA National Indoor Championships at 5-0, the best start since 2020.
First up for the Orange & Black is a battle with #14 Auburn in the round of 16, which will get underway on Friday morning in Seattle. Serve is set for 5:30 pm.
The winner would advance to take on the winner of Texas and Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.
J.W. Walsh and David Glidden made their way to Stillwater as part of the class of 2011. The pair redshirted together in 2011 before playing in the Cowboys offense from 2012-2015.
J.W. played in 33 games at quarterback for the Cowboys passing for more than 3,900 yards and 36 touchdowns. Glidden caught 115 passes for 1,655 yards and 6 touchdowns as a Cowboy.

This past Saturday, the Cowboys not only got a big home win over Kansas State, they also honored one of the all-time greats.
