Sanye Ford has encountered various obstacles during her time in Stillwater. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic curtailed her freshman season, and now, in 2023, her season is once again coming to an early end. However, this time it's not due to any external factors but rather a deeply personal decision.

Sanye's mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney disease a year and a half ago, and since then, Sanye has been tirelessly supporting her through numerous hospital visits, endless tests, and an agonizing wait for a suitable kidney donor. After much contemplation and selflessness, Sanye has made the courageous choice to donate her own kidney to her mother.

If you're interested in learning more about the remarkable decision and the process of finding a match, make sure to tune in to the latest edition of the Pokes Pod.
