Former Oklahoma State fullback, offensive lineman turned linebacker Cleveland Vann is one of just four players in school history to earn All-America honors at linebacker becoming the first to accomplish that feat in 1973.
Another accomplishment for Vann came at the end of this summer when he completed his degree at OSU fifty years after he left the campus entering the professional football world.
Learn more about Vann, his time in Canada and what it meant to earn his diploma in this edition of the Pokes Pod.

🔼 Amongst The Elite. Anytime you can play with the best players in the country and set a record, you’re doing something right.
That’s what happened this past weekend for the Cowgirls golf team, who finished sixth at the annual Schooner Fall Classic in Norman, a tournament won by the defending NCAA Champion, Wake Forest.
On Sunday, All-American Maddison Hinson-Tolchard fired a six-under 64, including six birdies to tie the lowest score in a round ever in program history.

🔼 Making Moves. After a record-setting weekend, the OSU men’s cross country team is making moves as they’ve moved into the top spot nationally in some polls.
This past weekend, the men's team completed the sweep at the annual Cowboy Jamboree as freshman Denis Kipngetich took home the individual title with a time of 23:21.5. Brian Musau, Victor Shitsama, Will Muirhead and Jonas Price rounded out the scoring for the Cowboys, clocking times of 23:41.9, 23:48.7, 24:17.1 and 24:21.9, respectively.
Kipngetich's time is the sixth fastest in Jamboree and 8K course history.
🔼 California Love. The OSU women’s tennis teams must have been listening to Tupac recently because they were definitely feeling the California Love this past weekend.
Lucia Peyre, along with her partner Savannah Broadus from Pepperdine, defeated the Stanford duo of Connie Ma and Angelica Blake, 8-5, to claim the Battle in the Bay doubles title.
Members of the Oklahoma State team will be back in action next week across two events: the Templeton 60k pro circuit even in Templeton, California, and the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina.
🎥 OSU MAX: COWBOYS FILM ROOM
No better way to prepare for hoops season than rewatching the “A Place Like This” series with Doug Gottlieb.
Doug sat down with Cowboy legends of the past and talked about what makes this place so special.
It’s a series you just can’t miss.
