Safety Kendal Daniels played a big role in the Cowboys defense in 2023 as a leader of the secondary in Bryan Nardo's new defense.
Daniels finished the year ranked among the Big 12 leaders with two fumble recoveries (second), 62 solo tackles (fifth), 105 total tackles (fifth) and 7.5 tackles per game (eighth).
Go inside the film room as Kendal and former Cowboy Richetti Jones break down some of his biggest plays from his redshirt sophomore season.
📈 STOCK UP
🔺 Stayin’ In Stilly. In a shocker to no one, the undefeated and top-ranked Cowgirls are staying in Stilly this weekend.
For the first time in program history, OSU is the #1 overall seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and is set to host the first two rounds this weekend when No. 32 Alabama, No. 36 SMU and Fairfield come to visit.
The Cowgirls are 27-0 and have been ranked No. 1 nationally for 12-consecutive weeks, while coming off Big 12 tournament and regular-season championships for the first time since 2016. Their resume includes eight wins over teams currently ranked in the top-10 and 13 wins over teams in the top-25.
This is the Cowgirls first time hosting a regional since 2022 and host the men's and women's national championships for the first time in program history from May 17-19.
🔺 Buckeye Bound. For the 26th time in program history, the Cowboys are NCAA Tournament bound.
The 32nd-ranked OSU men’s tennis squad is headed to Columbus, Ohio for the first two rounds of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
The Cowboys are joined in the Columbus Regional by host and top-ranked Ohio State, Cleveland State and No. 42 Vanderbilt.
OSU will face Vanderbilt on Friday, May 3 in the Round of 64, with official times to be announced. The winner takes on either Ohio State or Cleveland State on Saturday, May 4.
The Cowboys enter the NCAA Tournament with 17 wins – most by an OSU team since 2018 - after a run to the Big 12 semifinals. The Pokes knocked off No. 31 Baylor, No. 30 UCF, No. 11 Illinois and No. 5 Southern California during the regular season.
🔺 Straight Benge-ing. Cowboys baseball has been benge-ing a lot lately.
Winners of 🖐 straight, the Pokes got a major jolt from two-way sensation Carson Benge, who was named Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, and he has also been named the D1Baseball Player of the Week and the Perfect Game National Player of the Week.
The Yukon, Okla. native shined at the plate, batting .471 and hitting safely in all four games, and on the mound, picking up a win. He homered in all four games and finished with five round trippers on the week to go along with a team-high 10 RBIs.
The sophomore also had two doubles, 25 total bases, a 1.471 slugging percentage, scored 10 runs, walked four times and stole a base.
🔺 She’s Back Again. Folks, Maja Stark is heating up.
The former Cowgirl star and now LPGA standout is on a roll as the 2024 season is in full swing.
Stark earned her second consecutive second-place finish, this time at JM Eagle LA Championship with a nine-under 275.
She has now finished in the top-three in three of her past four LPGA outings.
🎥 MY TIME: SCOTLAND DAVID
Sunday’s Senior Day at Cowgirl Stadium was capped off in the best way possible… a walk off by Scotland David, who is a walking testament to not giving up.
The Ponte Vedra, Florida native, has overcome personal losses and season ending injuries, remaining at OSU to fulfill her childhood dream of playing for the Cowgirls.
Learn more about the perseverance of Scotland and how each obstacle is making her stronger as she finishes her career with Cowgirl Softball.
