Sanye Ford, an Oklahoma State women's track and field athlete, has faced several challenges in her career at Stillwater. As a freshman in 2020, her season was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2023, her season is again being cut short, but this time, it is due to a personal decision.

Sanye made the selfless decision to donate a kidney to her mother who was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney disease almost 18 months ago. Despite numerous hospital visits, tests, and waiting for a matching donor, Sanye chose to help her mom.
