🔼 Meet Us At The Mats. As the temps continue to drop, the action on the mats are just heating up for the Cowboy wrestling program.

This weekend, the Orange & Black hit the mats ✌️ times. First, the Cowboys host 24th-ranked Lehigh at GIA, followed by Sunday’s Bedlam showdown in Norman.

One of the best matches tonight will come at 133-lbs with OSU’s Daton Fix (#3 nationally) will take on Lehigh’s top-ranked Ryan Crookman.

The Cowboys, currently ranked #11 nationally, will then face off against OU, who sits at #14.

🔼 Doublin’ Down. Two Cowgirls will have a little extra packages under the tree this year.

The OSU equestrian duo of Claire McDowall and Emma Filiatreau both earned monthly rider awards, announced this week.

McDowall took home both the NCEA and the Big 12 November Horsemanship Rider of the Month accolades, while Filiatreau earned Big 12 Co-Reining Rider of the Month honors.

This marks the first time McDowall has earned either title in her career and serves as the second time in as many years a Cowgirl has earned the national Rider of the Month.

In her first fall season as a Cowgirl, Filiatreau is the first freshman to claim the conference's monthly honor since Hannah Mitchell in 2017.

🎳 HEADED TO HOUSTON

The sixth-longest active bowl streak in the country is set to take on the Texas Bowl for the second time in program history.

On Sunday, the Cowboys were selected to take on Texas A&M on December 27th at NRG Stadium in Houston. Game time is set for 8 p.m.

It will be OSU's fourth bowl game played in Houston, as the Cowboys have a 2-1 bowl record in the city with appearances in the 1983 Bluebonnet Bowl, the 2002 Houston Bowl and the 2019 Texas Bowl.

The 2023 Texas Bowl marks the 29th meeting between Oklahoma State and Texas A&M, with the series dating back to 1913. The teams played each other every year as members of the Big 12 Conference from 1996-2011 and faced each other twice before in bowl games, including a 1981 Independence Bowl matchup and a 2019 Texas Bowl matchup. The Cowboys have won four of the past five meetings between the two schools.

🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA

Entering the Texas Bowl, the trio of Nickolas Martin, Kendal Daniels and Trey Rucker has a chance to make history for the Cowboys.

Currently, the Orange & Black are the only Power Five team with three players with 90+ tackles.

Martin (133), Daniels (98) and Rucker (94) are on the cusp of reaching 100+ tackles all in the same season.
