🔺 Our New Leader. When looking at the resume, it’s tougher to find a more impressive one on the mats.

Olympic Gold medalist
3x winner at World Championships
2x Dan Hodge Trophy Winner
2x NCAA Champion
4x NCAA Finalist
4x Big 10 Champion

David Taylor brings quite the experience to OSU and he’s ready to start a new era of Cowboy wrestling as he steps into fill the role of recently retired legend, John Smith.

🔺 Eye On The Prize. One last dance.

The OSU women’s golf team has their eyes on the prize as they head into today’s final round at the NCAA Regional in East Lansing.

With the top five teams from each regional site qualifying for the NCAA Championships, the Cowgirls sit just four strokes back of that position, entering today’s round in seventh at 4-over for the tournament.

Senior Maddison Hinson-Tolchard continues to pace the Orange & Black and sits in a tie for third overall at 4-under, just two shots off the lead.

🔺 Power Pair. It’s been quite a week for Coach Lutz and the men’s hoops program.

The Cowboys added a power pair both on the courts and on the sidelines with the addition of Arkansas transfer Devo Davis and hiring of Jeremy Cox as an assistant for the upcoming season.

Davis, a 6-4 lefty, was a 2023 SEC All-Defensive Team selection and helped Arkansas to a Sweet 16 and two Elite Eight appearances over four seasons in Fayetteville (2020-24). He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Davis appeared in 132 games with 85 starts for the Razorbacks and totaled 1,118 points, 527 rebounds and 314 assists (ninth-most in program history). He was also a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection.

On the sideline, Cox was a former national coach of the year, winning the award in 2006 after guiding Arkansas-Fort Smith to a title before transitioning to the Division I level as an assistant under Billy Gillispie, Doc Sadler, Stan Heath and former OSU assistant Kyle Keller.

His 33-year resume includes stops in the Big 12, SEC, Big East and Big Ten conferences and a summer tour with USA Basketball. He's spent the past three seasons as Joe Golding's associate head coach at UTEP.
