Oklahoma State softball is back in the Women's College World Series for the fourth straight tournament. The Cowboys are hosting another NCAA Regional. It’s all good news in Stillwater—and Deion Imade and Clint Chelf break it all down in this week's episode of the Old Pokes Show.

Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Tyler Wulfert joins the show this week to talk about his road to OSU and hear his thoughts on this weekend's Stillwater Regional. Plus the guys name their Old Pokes Players of the Week.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Rain, Rain Went Away. Oklahoma State softball fell 8-0 to Florida State last night in a game marked by inclement weather and multiple delays. With the result, OSU is now 46-15 and Florida State moved to 56-17.

Two-time All-American Kelly Maxwell got the nod in the circle tonight and pitched 2.0 innings, tallying three strikeouts in the process. But the Seminoles grabbed an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. With one out in the top of the third, inclement weather returned to the OKC area and the game was put on pause once again.

Coming out of the delay, Kyra Aycock entered the circle in the bottom of the third for the Pokes, pitching 3.2 innings of relief.

With her fourth-inning single, Katelynn Carwile extended her on-base streak to 21 games, the longest of the season for the Cowgirls' rightfielder.

Florida State added a run in the third inning, four runs in the fourth, and the game-winner in the sixth to claim the 8-0 run-rule victory.

Oklahoma State looks to bounce back tonight at 8:30pm CT on ESPN, and will play the loser of this morning’s Washington vs. Utah game.

🔼 Oral Arguments. The Stillwater Regional is on deck and Oklahoma State is matched up against Oral Roberts for the chance to secure a spot in Supers. But before tonight’s first pitch, how do the Pokes match up against the Golden Eagles and what will be the keys to tonight’s game?

🐌 Slow ‘Em Down Early

To say that Oral Roberts dominated the Summit League this year would be an understatement—they’re the only program above a team .300 batting average, they’re 8.4 runs scored per game is nearly two full runs better than the next-best team, and four of their starters have hit double-digit home runs this year. This is a mid-major program that has consistently punched above its weight class in recent seasons, and keeping them off the board in early innings will go a long way towards securing the victory.

🛡️ Protect The Bases

Oklahoma State’s defense is going to be put to the test against a Golden Eagles team that squeezes bases at every opportunity—their 1.6 stolen bases and 2.4 extra base hits per game would put them well above average in Big 12 play.

😡 Frustrate Their Pitchers

As powerful as the Oral Roberts offense is—seven players are hitting above .300 this year—their pitchers are equally as dominant, averaging 9.2 strikeouts and a 3.66 ERA this season. If Oklahoma State can find some momentum early and take away the opportunity for Golden Eagle pitchers to get into a rhythm, it could mean a big win going into Game 2 tomorrow.
