🔺 Clipping Their Wings. A strong performance by Brennan Phillips on the mound and a little blast ball led the 19th-ranked OSU baseball squad past Oral Roberts, 12-4, on Tuesday.

The victory earned a season sweep of the Golden Eagles and picked up win no. 27 for the Pokes.

Phillips tossed four shutout innings in relief, striking out a career-high seven, while Carson Benge led an offensive attack that racked up three HRs. Benge had two hits and four RBIs on the evening.

🔺 Poll Position. As the spring seasons are heading into the final weeks and the postseasons drawing near, the Pokes find themselves all over the latest national rankings.

The Big 12 Champion and undefeated Cowgirls tennis squad stayed atop the overall rankings this week at #1, while the Cowboys moved up to #36 after its defeat of #30 UCF in the Big 12 Tourney.

On the diamond, the softball squad earned a consensus top-five ranking this week, sitting at #4 in most of the national polls. The baseball boys remained in the top-20, sitting at #19 in this week’s rankings.

Heading to the track, the Cowboys sit at #14 nationally in the latest USTFCCCA ratings index released on Tuesday.

🔺 The Hunt Continues. Today’s the day. The final day of the hunt.

Down in Trinity, Texas, the OSU golf squad is hunting a Big 12 Championship and entering today’s final round, the Pokes find themselves in the final grouping, sitting third for the second straight day.

Preston Stout enters today’s final round just two shots behind the leader.
