Gordon's HUGE Day Leads Cowboys to Win Over #23 Kansas
Gooooooood Morning Cowboys and Cowgirls. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
On a weekend where OSU honored a legend in Terry Miller and remembered the passing of another legend in Walt Garrison, Ollie Gordon did his best to put together a performance that would make both of them smile!
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew! Check it out below!

🔼 Ollllllllieeeee! Ollie! Ollie! Ollie! (soccer chant voice). Not Jonathan Taylor. Not Breece Hall. Not Travis Etienne.
None of those NFL stars ever did what Ollie Gordon put on display on Saturday. Gordon’s HUGE day helped the Cowboys to a second straight victory, this time a 39-32 defeat of 23rd-ranked Kansas in front of yet another sold out BPS.
Gordon finished with 284 total yards (168 rushing, 116 receiving) from scrimmage and two TDs to become the first OSU player since Gerald Hudson in 1989 to have at least 100 yards rushing and receiving in the same game.
Alan Bowman passed for 336 yards and two touchdowns, Rashod Owens had career highs of nine catches and 112 yards and Brennan Presley caught a touchdown pass and ran for the go-ahead score with 2:32 remaining for the Orange & Black.
Collin Oliver had seven tackles and 2.5 sacks, while Nick Martin led OSU with nine tackles.
Congratulations to our 2023 LIV Golf League Individual Champion Talor Gooch 🏆

🔼 Golf School, #Confirmed. Three Ryder Cup players? FedEx Cup Champion? US Open Champion? Need more?
Sure, why not. How about the 2023 LIV Champion.
OSU alums continue to solidify that the Orange and Black is indeed a #GolfSchool.
This past weekend, 2014 alum Talor Gooch took the top spot in the LIV season to win the $18 million prize for the championship.
The 31-year-old claimed the 2023 LIV Golf League individual title, a season-long points race similar to that of the FedEx Cup. Gooch surpassed Cameron Smith and held off Bryson DeChambeau, the only two other players who had a chance to win the lucrative bonus.
🔼 The Old 8-3 Split. No, that’s not an actual split in bowling, but that’s what the OSU equestrian squad faced this weekend taking on two of the top-10 programs in the country.
While they dropped a tough road showdown with preseason #1 SMU on Saturday, the Cowgirls started the weekend in a way they’ve gotten used to, defeating Baylor.
Since 2019, OSU has toppled the Bears 12 straight times including Friday’s 10-8 victory in Waco.

🔼 The Boys Are Runnin’. It truly was a weekend to run.
We remembered Walt Garrison. We honored Terry Miller. Ollie Gordon went off on Saturday. On Sunday? Chuba took center stage.
The third-year pro and former Cowboy had his biggest day of the 2023 season as the feature back for the Panthers.
Hubbard carried the ball 19 times for a season-high 88 yards and a TD. The 88 yards is the third-highest single game output in his young career. The TD was thee first of the season and eighth of his career.
🎥 OSU MAX: 2️⃣1️⃣ DAYS AWAY
Today marks 2️⃣1️⃣ days til the start of the 2023-24 OSU hoops seasons and what better way to celebrate than by getting a more in-depth look at who will be wearing #21 for the Cowboys this year, Justin McBride.
McBride gives us a look into the type of player he is, what landed him in Stillwater and why he’s excited to be a part of the Orange and Black.
🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA
Come on now, you knew the trivia question had to be about Ollie, right?
His 284 yards of total offense was the most by a Cowboy since 2019.
Who was that Cowboy back in 2019 that had over 300+ yards of total offense in a single game?
Got a guess?
