🔼 Making The List. A defensive menace to opponents for over two years, Collin Oliver is well known by opposing offensive coordinators.
A junior out of Edmond Santa Fe High School, Oliver is one of 11 Big 12 players included on the list. He moved to linebacker in the spring of 2023 after starting his career at defensive end his first two seasons.
He put together one of the most impressive true freshman seasons in the nation and in Oklahoma State history in 2021, earning unanimous Big 12 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year honors and freshman All-America honors. Highlights from that season included ranking No. 7 in the FBS and setting an OSU freshman record with 11.5 sacks.
As a sophomore last year, Oliver earned All-Big 12 honors from the league's coaches for a second consecutive season. He played in all 13 games and led the team with 5.0 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries, while his 7.5 tackles for loss ranked fourth.
🔼 Moving and Shaking. What makes Stillwater special is the people, we all know that and have seen that.
Those people include our tremendous coaching staffs, and that group expanded, as also some of whom received new titles this week.
On the men’s basketball side of things, Coach Boynton reshaped his staff for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Terrence Rencher will assume the new title of Associate Head Coach, Scott Sutton and James Barrett have both been elevated from support staff to Assistant Coach, and Nelson Hernandez is the new Director of Player Development.
Koller joins Coach Taylor’s staff after two seasons with UC Santa Barbara, helping the Gauchos to a 22-4 mark and a Big West title in 2023.
Koller served as the volunteer assistant for the men's program at Oklahoma during the 2021-22 campaign. Prior to his arrival in Norman, Koller worked as the assistant coach for Stetson from 2019-21. 🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 31 DAYS
31-31.
That was the score with less than 18 minutes to play last October when Texas Tech visited Stillwater.
But that’s when the Pokes shutdown the Red Raiders offense and posted 10 straight points to come away with the 41-31 victory to remain a perfect 5-0.
🤔 COWBOY TRIVIA
Last fall, the OSU Cowgirls put on a defensive clinic on the pitch.
In 19 games played, the Cowgirls allowed less than 15 goals (14 to be exact).
With 15 days left to until the season opener against Stephen F. Austin at Neal Patterson Stadium, do you know the last time OSU held their opponents to under 15 goals for the entire season?

After a record-setting, illustrious career as a guard for the Cowboys, Page has worked in several different roles under three different head coaches here in Stillwater.
Now, he’s getting his chance to put on the coaching shoes as an assistant for Coach Boynton.
OSU Max takes you behind the curtains into what brought Page into coaching, what it means to him to give back and what this place means to him.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answer: 2011.
The magical fall of 2011 that saw OSU go 22-2-2 and march all the way to the Elite Eight. That season, the Cowgirls allowed just nine goals in 26 matches.
That’s what we call some serious defense.
Happy Hump Day Cowboys and Cowgirls!
