🔼 NO ONE Better. We tried to tell y’all last week that OG2’s postseason accolades were just getting started.

On Friday night, in front of a national TV audience, Ollie Gordon II got the praise he deserved, being named the first Doak Walker Award winner in program history.

He also received first team honors on the 2023 Walter Camp All-America team, which is the first to be announced of the five All-America teams officially recognized by the NCAA.

Gordon is the first Doak Walker Award winner from Oklahoma State and just the fourth sophomore to win the award, joining Jonathan Taylor (Wisconsin, 2018), LaMichael James (Oregon, 2010) and Darren McFadden (Arkansas, 2006).

A three-time Doak Walker National Running Back of the Week who has already been named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and earned All-America honors, Gordon leads the FBS in several major categories including rushing yards (1,614), yards from scrimmage (1,940), 100-yard rushing games (8), 150-yard rushing games (5), 250-yard rushing games and carries of at least 30 yards (14), 40 yards (7) and 70 yards (2). He is second in rushing touchdowns (20), total touchdowns (21) and all-purpose yards (1,940).

🔼 OUR State. Not once, but ✌️, the OSU wrestling squad took the mats this weekend against nationally-ranked opponents.

And boy did the Cowboys make a STATEment.

OSU kicked off the weekend with a 25-12 home win over #20 Lehigh on Friday night, before turning up the intensity even more for a dominant 28-9 victory over OU on Sunday, the 18th-straight victory over the Sooners.

Six different Cowboys posted 2-0 weekends including Troy Spratley (125), Tagen Jamison (141), Teague Travis (157), Izzak Olejnik (165), Brayden Thompson (174) and Dustin Plott (184).

🔼 Rock ‘Em Like A Hurricane. Facing an offense that was averaging nearly 80 points a night, the OSU men’s hoops team knew they had to turn it up on the defensive end.

The Cowboys did that and then some, limiting Tulsa to just 15-percent from long range and picked up a critical 72-57 win at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Sophomore Quion Wiliams had a big day with 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while once again, Javon Small led the way offensively, pouring in a game-high 18 points, in addition to grabbing seven boards as well.

🔼 For Three. As the temps are cooling down, the Cowgirls are heating up.

Freshman Stailee Heard continued her impressive debut season with a team-leading 18 points to help the OSU women’s basketball team to a 67-52 win over Texas State for their third straight victory.

The Cowgirls are now 5-0 at home this season.

Heard went 9-of-12 from the field en route to her seventh double-figure scoring game in eight collegiate games.

Anna Gret Asi added 12 points and five rebounds while Quincy Noble and Rylee Langerman each scored 10.
