🔺 Run Pokes Run. A busy week for America’s Brightest Orange kicks off today in Eugene as the OSU track & field squad take on Tracktown USA at the 2024 NCAA Championships.

Competition begins today with three Cowboys and the 4x400 Meter Relay squad running in their respective semifinal rounds and three more racing in the 10,000 Meter Final on opening night. The men's 4x400 Meter Relay of Blake Wynne, Caio Almeida, DJ McArthur and Jordon Smith became the first quartet to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the event this century with their school-record time of 3:05.23 at the NCAA West Prelims two weeks ago.

ESPN and ESPN2 will cover the meet throughout the week.

🔺 Record Setters. It was a record-setting year in more than one way for three OSU programs.

The baseball, wrestling and softball programs set all-time highs and OSU Athletics fell just two-tenths of a point shy of its overall department record in the 2023-24 Academic Progress Rate multiyear data released this week by the NCAA.

OSU's top-performing teams in 2023-24 were softball, men's golf (993), women's golf (991), women's cross country (989), women's basketball (987), women's track and field (987) and soccer (986).

OSU's all-sports average of 980.93 was just below its 981.13 record mark set last year.

The APR holds institutions accountable for the academic progress of their student-athletes through a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete for each academic term.
