🔼 Double Down. After two dominating wins last week (3-0 over FAU and 8-0 over Little Rock), the Cowgirls futbol squad double down in the Big 12 Weekly Awards.

Chance, a junior forward, was an offensive force as she scored five goals on the week, needing just eight shots to do so. A Broken Arrow, Okla. native, Chance tallied a pair of goals against FAU, then put her name in the record books in Sunday's contest against Little Rock. She currently ranks second in the NCAA this season with six goals.

Morris played a key role on both ends of the field as the senior helped OSU post a pair of shutouts and limit its opponents to just 13 shots. Also key in the attack, the Frisco, Texas native posted three assists, including two against Little Rock.

The duo will lead the Cowgirls into a pair of games this weekend, including tonight at Texas State and hosting Central Arkansas on Sunday afternoon.

🔼 Poll Position. The 2023 season hasn’t even started and the OSU cross country squads are already making history.

The Cowboys come in at No. 2 after finishing the 2022 season tied with Northern Arizona atop the leaderboard at the NCAA Championships in Stillwater. OSU returns three cross country All-Americans to the lineup in Alex Maier (5th at NCAAs), Fouad Messaoudi (12th ) and Victor Shitsama (31st ). The No. 2 ranking is tied for the highest preseason ranking since 2013, when the Cowboys entered as No. 1.

The Cowgirls enter the 2023 season ranked No. 3, their highest preseason ranking in program history after earning their first team trophy at the NCAA Championships in 2022. The two-time defending Big 12 Champions return three-time cross country All-American Taylor Roe and six runners from the 2022 NCAA squad. Cross country All-American Molly Born also returns to the fold after missing last season. Born finished 16th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 2019.
