Well folks, welcome to Cowboy Jamboree Week as the OSU cross country squads will be hosting the 85th annual Jamboree this week in Stillwater.

With two of the nation’s best cross country squads wearing Orange and Black, you’ll see some of the country’s best runners in action.

We’ll preview that and give you another example of why the best fans in the world wear OSU!

The Texarkana, Texas native chose Oklahoma State without making a visit to Stillwater during COVID.

Two of the nation’s best cross country squads will be back in action at the historic Cowboy Jamboree, which OSU will be hosting for the 85th time this weekend right here in Stillwater.

This weekend will be the first full squad meet of the fall as both the men’s and women’s team, who are both ranked in the top-three nationally, set their sights on capturing a third straight Big 12 Championship later this fall.

Race times for Saturday are set for 8:15 am (women) and 8:45 am (men).

🔼 Bounce Back Time. After this weekend’s tough 33-7 home loss to South Alabama, the Cowboys will be looking for a bounce back opportunity in a big way to kick off Big 12 conference play.

First up? A trip to Ames and a Saturday afternoon date with the Cyclones of Iowa State.

What makes Stillwater so special?

The majority of the time, the answer to that question is “the people”.

This past weekend, six of those special people were enshrined into the OSU Hall of Honor.

David "Buddy" Arndt (wrestling), Justin Blackmon (football), Rickie Fowler (men's golf), Yolanda Odenyo (soccer) and coach Ann Pitts (women's golf) joined Legends division honoree Shelby Wilson (wrestling) as this year's honorees.

Double-Edged Sword. For much of the non-conference schedule, the OSU Cowgirls flexed their offensive prowess, ranking amongst the nation’s best in goals per game.

On the other side of the field, the Orange and Black have been stifling, posting six shutouts so far in 2023.

In fact, they rank 34th in the nation in goals against average (0.60) and 12th in goals scored per game (3.10).
