It was an incredible weekend for the OSU softball program.

The Cowgirl Way was on full display in a thrilling Bedlam series victory in Norman.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Rollin’ With Nolan. After missing a portion of this season, Nolan Schubart is back with vengeance.

The sophomore outfielder had a record-setting weekend for the Cowboys, who continue to sit in the top-20 nationally. For his efforts, he was named Big 12 Player of the Week.

In OSU’s four games this past week, Schubart went 9-for-17 (.529) with five HRs, three doubles and 10 RBIs. He also scored six runs, walked twice and had a 1.588 slugging percentage.

In a midweek win against Wichita State, Schubart set an OSU single-game record with four home runs.

⚾️: More On Nolan’s Big Week

🔺 One Down, Two To Go. The Cowgirls are off and running in East Lansing.

OSU teed off in opening-round action and sits in a tie for sixth-place after Monday’s action. Maddison Hinson-Tolchard paced the Orange & Black and sits tied for fourth overall.

The Cowgirls completed the first round at Forest Akers Golf Course 3-over 291 to tie with Michigan State and enters Tuesday one shot behind Denver.

The top five teams from each of the six regional sites will qualify for the NCAA Championship on May 17-22, advancing 30 team finalists to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. In addition, the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional will also qualify.

Hinson-Tolchard paced the Cowgirls, firing a bogey-free, 2-under front nine before an even back nine closed her day at 2-under 70.

⛳️: Recapping The Opening Round Action

🔺 Tourney Time. What a weekend it was for America’s Brightest Orange as the Cowgirls rolled through Norman and picked up the Bedlam series victory.

After this weekend, OSU is the only team in the country to win series against the #1 (Texas) and #2 (Oklahoma) teams.

Next up? The Big 12 Tournament.

The Cowgirls head to OKC later this week and open tournament play on Thursday at 11 am against sixth-seeded BYU.

Redshirt sophomore safety Cam Epps is primed for another big season in 2024.

The St. Louis, Missouri native finished the 2023 season with 40 tackles and 3 interceptions helping lead the Cowboys to a 10-4 record.

In last week’s record-setting performance, Nolan Schubart not only set a single-game record at OSU, but also tied a Big 12 record.
