🏈 Countdown to Kickoff
🤠 And so much more!

🎧 OSU MAX PODCASTS

“Losing is supposed to hurt.”

That was the simple message Coach Kenny Gajewski left his team after they were eliminated from the 2023 Women’s College World Series. The season didn’t end with a National Championship.

However, it wasn’t as heartbreaking of an ending as 2022—an ending that took the head coach a year to get over.

Less than a week after the Cowgirls’ season ended, Coach Kenny Gajewski was already out recruiting for next year. He acknowledges he’s tired but understands it's required if he wants to do more than settle for a fifth-straight WCWS appearance. Gajewski doesn’t want to settle. He wants to win it all.

🔼 Tick, Tick, Tick. We are under 40 days until training camp kicks off for the Cowboys.

How are you passing the time between now and then? Got your tailgate menus ready? We can’t wait to see ya’ll at BPS this fall.

🔼 Dailey Double. Eric Dailey Jr and Team USA took a page from the Jeffersons and they are movin’ on up to the Bracket Stage of the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup after a perfect 3-0 mark in group play.

For the third straight game, Dailey Jr. scored in double-figures in USA’s 122-70 victory over Lebanon on Tuesday morning.

In his 51 minutes of total action in the group stage, he scored 33 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and snagged five steals. He’s shot 53-percent from the field over that span.

Team USA finishes atop Group B and will face China in Wednesday's Round of 16 at 8 am CST.

Fans can follow all the action from the FIBA U19 World Cup at fiba.basketball/world/u19/2023 and watch every game live and on demand at youtube.com/FIBA.

Dailey and OSU head coach Mike Boynton (Team USA assistant) both sat down this week to talk about the experience and what it’s meant for them to share this time.

Hudson started 206 games over the past four years at Liberty, where she was sixth in career homers (35), seventh in career RBI (135), tied for seventh in extra-base hits (74), eighth in total bases (326), ninth in slugging percentage (.517). She has also caught four no-hitters, which is tied for the most in program history.

In 2023, Hudson led the ASUN with 15 homers, 17 doubles and 51 RBI, batting .318 with a team-leading .636 slugging percentage. She had one of the biggest hits of the season, a go-ahead three-run home run to sink Montana Fouts and No. 13 Alabama on April 18. That was one of four homers this season against Top-25 opponents (also Duke and Central Arkansas).

Hudson led Liberty to the first at-large berth into the NCAA Championship in program history and an upset win over No. 2 UCLA that eliminated the Bruins from the tournament on their home field.

🔼 Coach In The Community. There is nothing like seeing the faces of the kids when you give back.

Coach Boynton will have a front row seat to exactly that next month as he joins a select group of Big 12 coaches on July 18 to lead youth clinics at world-famous Rucker Park as part of the conference's "Big 12 Hoops in the Park" program.

Big 12 Hoops in the Park is made possible through a partnership with New York City Parks, Hard Rock Hotels, Gatorade and WHOOP, which will provide fitness bands for each basketball coach. Following drills and clinic sessions, coaches will participate in a Q&A with participating youth.

🔼 Earning Her Stars & Stripes. Taking a trip overseas is pretty common for most college graduates. Making those trips to represent your country is not.

Cowgirls star Kelly Maxwell is preparing for her second international competition with Team USA with the 2023 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women's World Cup just a few weeks away.

At the 2023 WBSC World Cup, Maxwell and the top-ranked Americans compete in group stage action from July 11-15 in Dublin, Ireland.

A two-time All-American and three-time first-team All-Big 12 honoree, Maxwell ranks among the top left-handed pitchers in the world. She has made four trips with Oklahoma State to the Women's College World Series and was a featured performer on three of those four squads. Over the span of her Cowgirl career, she sports a 1.58 earned run average, has struck out 746 batters in 494.2 innings of work and has limited opponents to a .158 batting average.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Joseph Randle and Josh Stewart

On a team that featured the incredible talents of Justin Blackmon, one might be inclined to think he was one of them, but he finished with six catches, 103 yards and two TDs.

Randle torched the Red Raiders on the ground for 81 yards on 18 carries and three rushing TDs.

Stewart had only two catches on the day, but both of them were for TDs. His other TD came on a fumbled kickoff return, in which he recovered and scampered into the end zone from three yards out.

Happy Hump Day Cowboys, let’s make it a good one!
